Manual is a very good team that has played a killer schedule. They were a couple of plays...here and there... from beating X in the regular season.

 

Who's gotten better?

Will Vic who was gimpy in the first match-up, be dominating this time?

Will the turf at Papa help X or Manual?

Does Manual have players returning that were hurt the first time??

X wins big. X allowed Manual to hang around in the first game. They won't do that this time. Look for X to come out fast and hard and put this one away early. The Tigers know they have a back-breaker of a road to the final this season and they can't afford to have tough games back-to-back-to-back.

I look at it this way- compared to last year (I know I shouldn't do that, but eh, it makes for an interesting argument in my opinion), this Manual team has a very different attitude. Last year, when Manual met up with X in the playoffs it was pretty much the way LSURock is predicting for this one.

 

I would think if this Manual team is going out, they want it to be in style.

Humm, could be a good one but again it will not be Manuals night, I still think X is molding just right

Tigers take this Round 1 game. Showing improvement over last couple of weeks. St. X by 3+ TD's. Set sites on Round 2. Anderson, Finch and Zoeller all have big nights.

Improper execution and breakdowns at critical instances. Manual overthrew open receivers several times against Male and dropped passes when the balls were catchable. One of these days, Manual will put together a complete game. Maybe it will be this Friday?

St. X wins by 35 points as Anderson runs for over 250 all purpose yards and scores four times.

I understand history plays a big part in your statement here Ram2003. I for one very much respect your position.

 

But after seeing that field Friday night against Butler; which during warm ups looked more like Taylorsville Lake than a Football Field, watching at least 500 to 600lbs of the field walk out of the stadium on the players helmets, pants, jerseys, socks and in their cleats, not being able to see the yard lines on the field, having to squint real hard to even make out the gianormous "M" that is normally unmistakable at mid-field, hearing the PA announcer say, "Tackle made by Corey O'Daniel.......but I've been wrong before", because he couldn't read the number on the players jersey.
