I just hope Tailgaters can recover from all the Hysteria of the ESPN Thursday Night Game of the Week before we get there, or for some of us, before we get back there, on Friday.

Spend Thursday night at tailgaters-Brilliant!!!!

Should Manual run the table and win state they should have the big 3 serve them dinner for a year..... what a rough road to ask of any team! For this game I would like to see Manual play X without firing so many bullets in their own foot... it could be a barn burner!!! Crystal ball says some stray rounds still find their way in Rams hoof and X adds a couple more to center mass.... X- 30 M- 13

Except for Trinity a few years ago, Manual hasn't beaten any teams they were not supposed to beat, mainly Male, Trinity, and X. This season has been a bit of a carbon copy of last years, but the team wasn't supposed to be as good. Manual lost all those fast backs, big linemen and strong linebackers---33 seniors in all---and they haven't really missed a beat. This years team has a spirit, that showed after the Eastern victory, and has carried them to a good season. Manual has been on the cusp of climbing up the big three's level and the team knows that this is the last chance for this season. Manual can and will put it together this week. It's been a long time comming and I for one can't wait.

They were NOT supposed to beat Warren Central or PRP this year. Some said they weren't supposed to beat PRP last year. And they certainly weren't supposed to beat Male a couple of years before the Trinity game you mentioned.

 

As to this game, this is a young squad with better seasons probably in front of it, but at this point they can knock any team off on the right night. They have to put it ALL together to do it, but they're capable of it.

 

I say X should win, but I won't say they WILL win. We'll just have to see tomorrow.

02Ram54 I agree with your assessment of this years Manual team. They will have better seasons ahead of them. I feel they exceeded expectations this year.

 

I do differ and think X should and will win tonight. Obviously I am predjudice. I do think alot would have to go right from Manual and a lot go wrong for St. X in order for the Rams to escape with the victory.

 

By the way, it will be special for Manual to play at Papa Johns friday. Has Manual ever played there before? I do not think it is old hat for the X team. I know they have played there at least once a year but each time they go and play there they are very much made aware of how special a priviledge it is and each class does not take it for granted.

 

Here's to hoping each team has an injury free night and relishes the opportunity to play in the Pizza Box.

I think this aspect might play into the hands of the Tigers. They won't/shouldn't get caught up in playing at PJCS, they've been there before. Hopefully the young rams will be disciplined enough to focus on the game and not their surroundings.

 

I just watched the game tape from the first meeting and I saw a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes on the part of the Tigers. In the 4th, the starters will get to rest as X rolls by 4 touchdowns. X 41 M 14

I guess everyone is a bit hung over today. I think this will a close game early with Vic breaking it open in 3rd 1/4. Could be one of the more competative round 1 games....
