If X comes out and plays the first half by passing and and taking advantage of Male's defense like they did in the second half of round 1....X wins. This would open up the running game and constant deep routes all game long would hopefully wear out Beaumont and Male's other 2-way players....I said hopefully! Male's QB has to be contained and then tackled...I felt he did more damage than Beaumont last game...that kid would scramble all over the place and then come up with a gain with his legs or arm.

Ballard does not have a chance....Trinity ...at home ......in the playoffs....They will take care of business early and often...T by at least 3 TDs... Ballard has improved....but is still way behind the Rocks...

Vic goes to almost all of the Freshman and JV games...He stands on the sidelines at these games and cheers for the little Tigers. He constantly pats players on the back and gives support....

Manual will be very tough next year....I pray for your two injured players and a speedy recovery.

Let's try again.....Please read the thread title before posting.... Manual is a very good team that has played a killer schedule. They were a couple of plays...here and there... from beating X in the regular season. Who's gotten better? Will Vic who was gimpy in the first match-up, be dominating this time? Will the turf at Papa help X or Manual? Does Manual have players returning that were hurt the first time??

Manual is a good team that plays in the toughest district in the state. They also schedule very tough out of district games.....If they played in one of the weaker districts...they very well could be un-defeated....heck a couple plays here and there....and their record would be better in this district... Manual is with out a doubt a tough game....

He was...and I think he even had a 80yd TD in that game....

In the last 3 years, (at levels of play Frosh, JV, and Varsity,) Trinity has won 3 of the last 10 games vs. X...30 %...and 2 of those were questionable... 1. the 10 minute game and 2. the JV vs. Varsity game... I'll take X's 70%...maybe not dominating......but it is far superior than 30%! Now back to the topic.....Why was T's starting QB throwing TD passes with 5 minutes left in the game...and they were up 4 scores..(3tds & a FG)

Vic was out at half...you must have your teams confused... X started their seniors on the D-line, O-line, and at QB. X plays a lot of players when the game has been decided. X does not throw TD passes with their starting QB to their starting WR with 5:41 left in the game and up 4 scores....X has way too much class for that. What happened to our weekly crack on crowd size?

It was one heck of a game. Beaumont was impressive....but it was Male's QB that stole the show in my opinion. He was very shifty. He would scramble east and west for 30 yards and then find a open WR. When he couldn't find anyone open he would take off. It was his mobility that caused X the most problems. Also X's young QB, that some on here were bashing..did an outstanding job himself. Several of his passes were on target ...but dropped. He also ran hard and ran the Off well. I can't wait for the rematch with a heathly Vic and hopefully more X passing in the 1st half. Congrats Male on the win....

The game was packed....in the stands...in the endzones...under the stands...heck there was even a large football game between some very young fans happening on the baseball field... ....Just look at the background of Da-Man's photos...packed house!....

This is a hard game to predict because while both teams want to win : 1. Neither team wants to show everything. and 2. Both teams will be testing (coverages, defensive and offensive adjustments, mismatches, tendancies) The playoff game is the one....and a meeting is almost definite.

I saw a girl wearing one last year that said: Assumption Football Undefeated for 50 years BTW Assumption is an all-girl school with no football team

Brad also scored a TD in this game. He is a very fast RB too. Runs a lot like Stripling on UL.

Thanks Jimmy....I've stepped in as a basketball ref and a football ref in scrimmage games....it was tough.....You start to understand how hard it is when it is up to you..to make the call...in a split second.. How many refs are on a NFL and a NCAA field compared to HS?

Nice thread idea.... I would like to add some questions?..... How are these responsibilities different than in NCAA and NFL football? Are there not more refs at those levels? Does that mean we are expecting too much from our HS refs?

Nice work Col....looks a lot more than a handful....

It was a good game with breaks going for and against both teams. The muddy conditions slowed everyone down. Vic had 3 outstanding runs with Manual defenders in the right position to make the tackle....Vic made some outstanding moves...aided by the mud.... Coach Nichols had absolutely squat to do with that. He called the right defense...as Ram players were there to stop the play.....He called the right plays on the goalline also....the pass play was open and caught...just a shy short (according to the refs)...and the run play like mentioned went to X's weak side...but X defenders stepped up on that play.... I fail to see how Manual's coach made mistakes in this game. Passing the ball, and sweeps is what both teams started doing when the middle of the field became very muddy. Manual was successful with dive plays, before the rain took its toll, not sweeps. Coach Nichols adjusted to the weather conditions and called plays that gave his team the best shot to win.
