I don't know what kool-aid Bayshore's been drinking... As for the Avatar, I always enjoyed Barkley's brutal honesty, but his latest misstep forced a change. As a lifelong Steelers fan, Harrison was an obvious choice, although your avatar is now much better too and gives me some other ideas. I will say this, if I ever find a picture of HDE, watch out! These threads really get you excited about the coming year. It is as if football never really ends.

I agree that Saragas is a good man, and I laugh at the thought of him being in a secret society to help Corbin or keep Williamsburg down.

I have to agree with HDE. Didn't Harlan just lose by 1 to #2 Harlan County? Hard to believe there are 8 teams between them.

I expect Brewer to take over at QB and do well, especially with what should be a solid line and running game.

Ram, That makes common sense to me, but does the second carrier get credited with a carry? If so, you may have 20 plays from scrimmage and a total of 21 carries by individuals. Is that the way it should be?

I haven't read this whole thread, but has anyone come up with a realistic possibility (strategy, etc.) wherein Trinity could lose this game?

I would say the rationale for starting later is to avoid the heat (safety). I do not have a proposed rationale for the bye week.

While on this topic, please help with the option. If QB carries for say 8 yards, then pitches to tailback who gains 6 more, who gets the carry and the yards? Same question when a receiver makes a catch for say 8 yards, then laterals to another WR for 10 more, who gets the reception and the yards? Please and thank you.

The scores indicate that District 7 may be a bit stronger than given credit despite the records of the bottom 3 seeds. Obviously, Hazard over Betsy Layne and Pikeville over Jenkins was expected, but Pineville playing tough and Harlan trouncing Allen Central was interesting. Hopefully, it will make for competitive games this week with Hazard/Paintsville and Harlan/Pikeville.

They did, but they did not appear to like physical football nor a muddy track at all. Congrats to Harlan...they have steadily improved and developed an identity of toughness that matches the strengths of their personnel.

Prediction: Estill in regional final v. Breathitt/Harlan Co. winner. Either way, it will be a terrific and close final. (No disrespect to Taylor Co. intended)

Tough night for Lynn Camp...they always play hard win or lose, but I'm not sure this blowout should bring only one playoff team per district. There were several 3 seeds and a few 4 seeds that won and still other games that were close (See Highlands/Bryan Station).

Congrats to the Bears...a first playoff game, a first playoff win, and on the road at that...definitely a big accomplishment.

Good point Neers44...I think you should go no less than 3 teams with a bye for the #1 seed or, in HDE's idea, the top 6 teams in a regional scenario.

I have no knowledge at all of Wayne Co., but I put faith in Larkey's playoff experience...Harlan Co. 30, Wayne Co. 21.
