You wasnt the only one. I also thought that Allen Central would have no problem with Harlan, but clearly that wasnt the case, it was exactly the opposite.

This game shocks me a little.

The scores indicate that District 7 may be a bit stronger than given credit despite the records of the bottom 3 seeds. Obviously, Hazard over Betsy Layne and Pikeville over Jenkins was expected, but Pineville playing tough and Harlan trouncing Allen Central was interesting.

 

Hopefully, it will make for competitive games this week with Hazard/Paintsville and Harlan/Pikeville.

Paintsville won, but it took 3 quarters for the Tiger staff to see its team's biggest advantage over Pineville. Once they realized Doderer was consistantly beating the Mountain Lion defense to the corner, Paintsville got the game under control.

 

The score is indicative of how this game was played for 3 quarters. If the Tigers had, from the begining, emphasized its outside running game (like it did in the 4th) this game wouldn't have been as close.

The scores surprises me. I thought Pineville had packed it in already. This was a good showing for the Moutain Lions.
