:thumb: JMO but only two teams from each district should advance to the playoffs.

Something has to be done because there is no upside to the playoffs being this one sided.

Only one district team should advance. Period. Let's not reward any one who does not win.

District winners only should advance. Shortens everything and no bad teams advance. Don't reward anyone but the district winners. We all have our chance to win the district, and if we don't, we sit. Simple and tough, but let's reward the winners and sideline the losers, 2nd place included.

Nice to meet you Bluto. Always glad to put a face to a name. We're back up there early in 2009. LCA has, by far, the most friendly folks I have ever met in high school football. The whole program is just pure class! Kudos, guys. Sorry we didn't make it more of a game for you. maybe we'll be a little more ready and healthy next year. Keep up the good work! You could be a model on how to do things.:thumb:

Congratulations!!!!

Good luck next week and be safe coming down this way!!!!

Like I said, let's shorten the season the whole way around. One district, one representative. Period.

It's the most fair way. You win, you play, you lose, you don't.

The last two years that would have been Williamsburg, but Campbellsville came alive last year and went to region.

Go to the ranking system like in Ohio, and then only the topXX play. I don't like that because on paper, it would only be louisville schools who play 6A

Tough night for Lynn Camp...they always play hard win or lose, but I'm not sure this blowout should bring only one playoff team per district. There were several 3 seeds and a few 4 seeds that won and still other games that were close (See Highlands/Bryan Station).

DADDY CAT, good to meet you, too! :thumb: You guys are a great group.

I salute your team for giving it their all, and we realize that with you guys having injuries to 3 main players, that you were not at your best.

In talking to you (& MOMMY CAT?) about the future of LC football, I am very encouraged for you next year. Only losing 5 seniors (& only one of them a lineman) means that a lot of guys who played tonight (& played hard) will be back; bigger, stronger and more experienced. You should be a lot tougher when we face you next year in the regular season.

P.S. say hi to "DAUGHTER CAT" for me!

LCA Eagles, GREAT job! You came out focused from the very beginning. The tone was set when on the first play, LCA's Walls made his 7th interception of the year. On the next play, Dominique Hayden ran 50 yards for the first LCA TD.

To the linemen, you did a great job winning the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball. It has been really encouraging to see Josh Ballard bounce back from that serious knee injury in pre-season. All of the linemen are playing strong and tough, especially Michael Harmon - what a Rock!

Hayden had 151 yards on 11 carries, and 4 TDs (2 rushing & 2 receiving). Witt was 8 for 10 passing, with 132 yards and 4 TDs.

It was good to see the JV & Freshmen play almost the entire 2nd half. That experience will prove valuable in the future (plus it's fun!).

Will do, Bluto. Other than the horrible beat down, it was a good night up there.

But,with the argument that the only teams that should go were the very best teams, why should they have had the chance? I know the 2nd place teams are usually OK, but why reward losing on any level, using the "best teams only" argument?

Sometimes they get hot, like we did in 2003 and C'ville in '07, but why allow in #2, also?

If the people who want the best teams in, all of us who have taken 2nd had our chance to be 1st and blew it, same for 3rd and 4th. Reward winning, punish losing at all levels.

(I am being half sarcastic with all of this, and I know that most 3's and all 4's (usually) have some work to do to compete, but even your example shows why the top 3, at the very least, should be allowed in.)

The "System" is fine as is, and as last night showed, a very good team that executes will dominate. BUT: some of the young kids got in and got to get their feet wet and see what playoff football is all about.

It has also been a LONG time since we were physically handled like that.

Again, WOW!
