  1. My heart and prayers are with you Steve and your family during this time. Be strong. Tracy extra prayers for you as well in taking care of two fine men. GOD BLESS these MEN.
  2. BF thanks for the updates. Way to go Birds. Time to head to the big Pizza Box. Sounded like the boys dominated on offense and gave a little ground on the defensive side but also caused alot of fumbles. Great job.
  3. What is the official game time. Have heard two times. Secondly, directions once you get off Mountain Pkwy. Previous post said to take Sville route 460. Sorry, just didn't feel like going back 500+ posts to find info.
  4. Respect ALL. Fear None. BIRDS take each game one at a time(except CovCath) and that is how this program has built its pride and tradition over the years.
  5. Prayers out to all the injured. Hope Carter recovers fast. Roller keep your head up and get well soon. Great game by the Birds. Ashland had no answers. Only for the TO and long run back by Tomcats it could have been a shutout. As for the ejection. Bonner continued his block a little too long and added an extra little shot at the end. Labor saw it and came in and gave a shot back to back up his teammate and Bonner started pushing and shoving. Ref grabbed him and moved him back a couple yards and he pulled out of it with a swing. Don't think he was trying to hit the ref, just trying to get out of it. Automatic, with the ejection. Smart thing by Dale, pulling his guys together and probably telling them to walk away from all issues. An ejection by an HHS player I think would be a suspension of a game as well. Late scores were by the two's and I think week kicking game led to the runs on 4th and 2 pt conversion. No upsmanship, just not going to starting kicker back in after you tell him he's done. Anyway, I don't think they made it anyway. Hope all the folks from Ashland make it back safely and hope to see you again. Man I feel like LN is telling me to type all this. Go BIRDS
  6. Offense sells the tickets, while defense WINS championships. Go Birds
  7. I think X wins big and Glaser will put one more point on the board than HHS to make a point who is best in KY. IMO
  8. With all the injuries Boone Cty has after last week it may be hard to put them in top ten. RB is gimpy, down to 3rd QB and a receiver all hurt against Henry Clay. Also HC controlled this game from the reports. They may be over looked abit.
  9. It was a screen pass, to get a first down. Roller makes some great moves and breaks 3 or 4 tackles. What do you want. Dale wanted to work on some things. The Birds threw 6 passes in the whole second half and all early in the third period. Completed 5 and only one deep ball. Problem with this game again was Holmes could not hold on to the ball. Birds were getting too many chances very early in 3rd. Scoring on 2 or 3 play drives. Again all the TO's and you got pasted. Holmes needs to forget this game and correct these issues. As others have said , they have a nice team and just need to eliminate the miscues.
  10. The Birds didn't really run it up as much as Holmes turned it over time and again deep in there own territory. 8 TO's, 2 or 3 on kickoff returns that was giving the Birds excellant field position. Add a couple long scoring plays and it happens. Last 2 or 3 tds by second and third teamers, believe me. You can't turn it over that many times, punt all night and average like 25 yards per w/o a block and succeed.
  11. Birds looked much better this week on offense and had they got a TD or two early could have got some mo working. Colerains to good to let the opportunity's missed. TO's killed us early and agree with Cardinal Fan that the 4th down play to the end of the third period it was all Cards. Future is good with two studs in the backfield and both Sophs. I think 8 is only a junior and he had over a 100 yards tonight and 24 was not shabby either. The Birds played hard but when the backs hit the whole that fast and are by the LOS it was tough. Cards defense did relax a little late but most if not all starters were in the game very late and on the last Bird score. FACT. They started playing coverage defense and dropping all but like 4 into coverage and had little rush and that is why TG picked em apart. They went away from havoc being created from every angle and played on their heels. IMO VERY GOOD team and not down as some predicted.
  12. Congrats Central on a great win. I'm sure that Yellow Jacket Nation is proud today. Earlier when I watched you all play HHS, I was impressed with your team and talented young men. I thought then that youn had a championship team and gave the BIRDS all they wanted that night. Again great job and congrats.
  13. Remember that each team had its greatness and dominance during its own era in time. It is unfare and silly to compare. Each team at HHS has put its own block in the wall that sets the standard for the next team or generation. Simple as that. You can look at the greatness of Chuck Kyle and the Burt boys of the 60's all the way to todays team. 17 stae titles speak for the program and its strength. Family and tradition have been what is the greatest team of all for the BIRDS.
  14. Go BIRDS. Bring home number 17. Remember respect all, fear none. PURPLALUM as for your post, go back and read again. Most of your folks are the ones bringing up the fumbles and misques of the past two years. HHS fans respect this team and know just how good they are. Best of luck to all BG fans and have a safe trip. Best to both teams on a well played game. Now lets get it on. Go BIRDS Go. BOOM
  15. Go Tigers lets all bring home a trophy. Nice article in todays Post
