Bellevue/Brossart Predictions
Schools also have a responsibility to get these kids noticed by colleges. 6A schools, and traditional state powers (like Highlands, NCC, and Beechwood) are all scouted by recruiters. So, teams like Bellevue, Dayton, Ludlow have to do what they can to get their kids noticed. So, 300 yards and 4 td's are necessary in some cases. I know the Buckler family and they do not have a problem with Ricky putting up these kind of numbers if schools like Georgetown or Campbellsville will show interest. BTW, I know somebody is going to say "He has the chance to get injured", but that is all part of playing football. Bellevue wins rather handily.

What are they doing differently on defense this year? The offense seems to have some talent. They are putting points on the board. How many players are going both ways?

OK, nice job Mustangs. But, the cupcakes are over now. You have gotten some wins and raised your confidence. Your measuring stick still lies ahead of you. I do believe that you have definately made progress.

Youth Football in Northern Kentucky
I have been a Red Devil supporter for a long, long time. I played bor them in the mid 60's. Both my sons played there in there in the later 70's and early 80's (one of whcih went on to play in college). Now my grandson is there. The guys you mentioned know a ton about football. I am glad my grandson is getting such good coaching. BTW, I can see a senior superbowl match-up of CCRD and BT. The two best backs in the senior division Scruggs and Harris battling it out!

Youth Football in Northern Kentucky
I know that several area varsity coaches donate their time to coaching in the NKYFL. My grandson plays for the Red Devil seniors and they have at least two coaches who currently coach high school as well.

Nice article on Brandon and Steve Roller
Great article. I wish the Rollers well this season as well as all the Bluebirds.:thumb:

2009 Bellevue
I always look forward to hearing all the faithful chat away about my alma mater, but they have been very quiet. How is practice going? Who is standing out? Can the Tigers handle the tougher schedule this year?

And the winner is...
The building with the concession stand and restrooms is horrible. Heard that the second floor (where I used to lift weights) is actually off-limits as it is in such bad shape.

How Does Highlands Keep Performing at a High Level?
Perhaps, but I got it from a really good source.

KY HS Football Difference Makers
How about Hal Mumme? Like him or not, it was when he became the head coach at UK that teams around the state started focusing on the passing game alot more.

How Does Highlands Keep Performing at a High Level?
I've heard that Dale has let assistant Charlie Barr go. Can anyone confirm this? He has a long history in coaching and I am sure he could help someone if he chooses to stay in coaching.

Bellevue 2009/2010
How will this impact the coaching search? Does Bellevue wait until the new Nick Wilson takes over to hire?

Nick Wilson:idunno:- Bellevue
Brad Wolfzorn is working for a limosine company in NKY. I saw with my own two eyes in an ICN6 promo. He is out of teaching and has been for a couple of years now. Now sure about coaching though.- Brossart Hires New Head Football Coach
Then I misunderstood the bio. I reread it. It said that he was the coordinator for the middle school during o5-06. He was an assistant last year. Got it!- Brossart Hires New Head Football Coach
I agree. This is a borderline hire at best. I know the Scott following will voice their support. But come on. How can the Brossart fans get excited over a middle school coordinator whose bio does not indicate even a head position on any level. This looks like a "settle" hire to me. Is there a reason why Casey did not have him on the varsity staff since he had already had some years with the Eagles? I have relatives that play for Brossart and I want them to do well. Just my opinion.- West 27 East 14 (2008 NKY East/West All Star Game)
Dang, wrong again. I'll quit!- West 27 East 14 (2008 NKY East/West All Star Game)
I will admit that it appears I was wrong earlier about the game being at Scott. I will now go with this Friday, June 7th at Dixie. (cross my fingers). I dont want to miss it.- West 27 East 14 (2008 NKY East/West All Star Game)
Scott did trade their turn to coach the game because the new coach was still assembling a staff and did not want a staff that has not worked together to ruin the experience for the players. This has nothing to do with where the game is played. It is being played at Scott.- 2008 Elizabethtown
Does anybody know where former coach Paul Gray is at?- 2008 Dayton
Don't pick on Dayton for losing to Beechwood. They were a solid class "A" team, but still not in the same tier as Beechwood. They beat much larger schools in Scott and Holmes (in the final minute). Beat a good Lynn Camp team and won the first "Battle for the Paddle" against Bellevue. They can have all the heart in the world and it still would not have made a difference. Sorry.- Who said it?
the KHSAA :sssh:- Randy Borchers named Head Coach at Cooper High School
And lost to Dayton. :dancingpa I agree that it will be rough starting out at Cooper. That is the beauty of the whole thing, expectations will not be that high starting out. He has time to grow with the program.- Randy Borchers named Head Coach at Cooper High School
Bigger does not mean Better. What has Scott ever done that has been better than any single A school? - Bellevue
