Congrats Randy. It's going to be exciting to see this Cooper program build up over the next couple of years.

I wonder how the Ludlow community feels about this? He didn't have much success there plus backed out on the Scott job 3 years ago. Seems to be an interesting hire to me.

I am very surprised by this hire.:confused:

I agree with you. Going to a school like Cooper when every year there are going to be more and more kids enrolled in the school, the program should develop very nicely.

This was a very bad hire for that school IMO. You never know things may work out for him.

I wish Coach Borchers good luck in his new coaching endeavor. He was always up front in his feelings while here at Ludlow and I know he gained valuable experience during his tenure here.

May God be with you Randy and best of luck to you and your family.

Nice to see the Scott contingent weighing in on what a terrible hire this is.

Actually Mr. Borchers avoided career suicide when he backed out of the Scott job. I think hiring Borchers showed a lot of courage, which I believe could pay dividends for the young school

Why would you say that? Do you know Randy Borchers?

My congrats to Coach Borchers. It will be exciting to see him coaching at a big school. I may not know much, but they got someone who will work his tail off to build the program. He is fiery, passionate and dedicated. The best wishes to him, his new staff, and the Cooper football players this season.

He backed out of the Scott job but I think knew he could get the Ludlow job once it opened back up. After all, he had been there 10 years (give or take a year) before applying for the Scott position. I think it says volumes to want to be where you love being.

I agree.

Randy Borchers will do a great job at Cooper. He is a good coach and will help to develop Cooper into a fine program. Obviously, the first year will be rough and the naysayers will be out early. Give him a chance. Good Luck Coach Borchers!:thumb:

:dancingpaGood luck to Coach Borchers. I wish him well.
