Lloyd dominated and Eric Turner did a great job leading the Juggs again tonight!!

2,3, and 5 are the responsibility of the head coach. These are things expected of coaches. If you do 2, 3, and 5 well 1 and 4 will take care of themselves to a degree. Being a successful head coach is difficult. If it was easy anyone could be a successful coach. Coach Griffith knew what he was getting into. I don't agree with bailing on the kids so quickly, at Boone and Barren. Good coaches stick it out and turn it around.
-
I agree with the above comments; the Boone job is now a difficult situation. However, Boone was in the state semis about 15 months prior to coach Griffith getting the position, which he sought with vigor. Then he leaves after two years and one loss. Now he has done it to Barren. Great coaches don't do that.
-
He certainly turned Boone County around. They are still trying to recover. Two years and one win and then bolts. From what I am told, he is really disorganized when it comes to fulfilling head coaching duties (practice schedules, etc.). Some people are great assistant coaches, but are not as good as head coaches.

And ironically enough, just like coach Hauck, they are winning regional titles again.

That's classic!!

Trust us, it won't be sad!

Excellent choice by Dayton. Chad is a fine young coach and will get the best from his players. -

Bottom line is Boone dominate the Offensive Line the whole game. -
I am just curious how Bellevue got thrown into this mix. I follow Bellevue and from what I have seen they are not playing with a bunch of kids from outside of the one square mile of Bellevue.
-
This is another example of what I have said. It is way too political. There are deserving kids who suffer and that's a shame.
-
I've seen both and I could not disagree more.

My intention was not to pick on Collinsworth. If that is how it was taken I apologize. I said he is a good player. However, I stand by what I said that I think many voters choose players based upon name recognition. If you took the names out of the equation and listed the stats there is no doubt who would have been chosen all state. I don't think that can be argued.
-
I did not say Buckler is a better player, although I think he is. I am saying he had a better year. I think when a kid rushes for 2,850 yards that is impressive and deserves recognition. I just really don't think enough of the voters do any research at all. They just vote with familiar names of players and schools.
-
I could not agree with Papa more. Ricky Buckler was the leading rusher in the state. The fact that he is not even an honorable mention would make any sensible person question the selection of all state players. There is NO way it can be justified. That is a fact. What a shame for a really deserving young man. The reality is the big "names" (Collinsworth) and the big name "schools" (Highlands) get the attention and the votes. How can a kid who rushed for less than 1,000 yards be second team all state when a kid who rushed for nearly 3,000 yards and over 40 td's does not even get honorable mention?? The other kid has a recognizable name and is from a more well known and successful school, that's why. Is that fair?? NO! Austin Collinsworth is a heck of a player but all state is not supposed to be based upon potential or who your dad is, it is supposed to be on performance.

Congrats to the red and white Tigers! The black and gold Tigers will be pulling for you to bring another title to Ft. Mitchell.

Frankfort / Bellevue Predictions
jdg937 replied to Voice of Reason's topic in KY Football (High School)
Come on Coach, Frankfort has the best defense in Class A. The quarterback is back this week. "Big Rick" is all of 150 lbs. Bellevue's kicker is a sophomore young lady. I think you are sandbagging.
