  1. They played the same defense against Boone as they did Conner. The three LBs were stacked behind the nose and DT.
  2. From 1995-2002 the record was 4 wins Boone and 4 wins Ryle. Form 2003-2009 it is Boone 6 wins Ryle 2 wins. And you think because of one win Ryle will start dominating the series. If anything it will be even with hard fought games. Boone is down this year but they have been down before and have come back. From 2000-2009 they still have the best record in 4a-6a in Northern KEntucky and more playoff wins than the rest of the 4a-6a in Northern Kentucky.
  3. Two wins in the last eight games against Boone for Ryle
  4. So why have the poll?? All I have done is question the validity of the poll, which it seems we all agree doesn't mean anything anyway.
  5. Oh, so it is okay for the pollsters to have thier opinion but not okay for me to have mine. You are a true American.
  6. I just really question the validity of the poll. You would think the people who put it together would take a look at the power rankings (Lit, Cantrell, Massey). That is really the only way you have to compare teams that don't play one another. Thanks for the responses. I am moving on. Hopefully the Tigers can prove the pollsters wrong.
  7. Okay Ram, I think Bellevue is more deserving than Raceland. Their three losses, two to mediocre teams, shows that. Explain why Raceland deserves to be ahead of Bellevue.
  8. I am a Bellevue fan and they should be in the top 10. They are in the top 6 or 7 in each of the power ratings. I am just curious how the ones who put this poll together can say Bellevue should not be in it. They have dominated every class A school they have played, they beat an athletic AA Newport, a decent AAAAA Scott, and lost early and respectably to AA Holy Cross and AAAA Holmes who has only lost one game. I am not saying Bellevue should be number one, but they should be somewhere 6-8. I explained my case, I would like one of the ones who put this great poll out to explain why they should not be in the top 10.
  9. The Lit, Cantrell and Massey are much better than BGP or AP.
  10. Futurecoach, If you have such an issue with the presentcoach leaving him in why don't you ask the presentcoach about it. You can find him every day of the week at Bellevue High School, 201 Center Street, Bellevue, KY. Maybe he would be willing to discuss it with you.
  11. That's your opinion. Agree to disagree.
  12. I saw the game and i can tell you Bellevue was subbing a lot in the 2nd quarter. I was sitting right next to the parent of a JV player who was getting reps early in the 2nd. In my years of watching HS football it seems that coaches want to get to the "running clock" and then make wholesale changes. I think a team has to be up 45 to have a running clock. That may be why Beechwood had the starters out in the 2nd quarter against Dayton, they were up 49-0 at the end of the first quarter and they had the running clock. Also, that was only Bellevue's 2nd offensive possession of the second half when Buckler scored the long TD. I saw Bellevue's game against Bracken last year. The Tigers were up 40-0 in the first half and Coach Eckstien took out all the starters. The next thing you know the score was 40-22 and the game lasted about 2 and a half hours. It would have been smarter for him to leave the first stringers in another series, score again, get to the "running clock" then get the younger players in.
  13. Dropped - Bracken, Gallatin, Paris, NCC Added - Holy Cross, Holmes, Scott, Walton (district) Still play out of district with Newport and Lloyd
  14. Thanks for the update on NCC. Where are the Holy Cross, Newport, and Lloyd followers??
  15. How are our 2 A schools doing in northern Kentucky?? Rumors have Holy Cross being the team to beat with a lot of returning starters. New Cath is supposed to be down this year, although that would be hard to fathom. Newport should be stronger with Rice at the helm. Lloyd is always dangerous with the excellent athletes they seem to produce. How are the numbers at these schools?? Who is looking strong and where are they struggling?? Where do you rank their finish in the district and why??
  16. Many coaches now a days have workouts in the morning partly to avoid the conflict with baseball. If a young man wants to play both he can. It is not asking too much for knothole players to attend football practice in the morning. They have plenty of recovery time.
  17. How are the numbers at Dayton?? I went down and visited practice at Bellevue the other morning and it looked like about 50 kids.
  18. That is not true. From the kids I have spoken to they have an actual weight lifting class the last period of the day that included about 30 football players. They lift weights and do running drills. The kids all look stronger and bigger,. and based on two of the kids I sponsored for the school's lift a thon, I would say they are getting the work done. The kids not in the weight class lift after school with one of the assistant coaches.
  19. Explain please. I have not heard that. What administration are you speaking of? The school principal has publically said very positive things about Mr. Runyan.
  20. From what I have heard and seen, Mr. Runyan has done a great job. The athletic department will end the year in the black. He has helped the teams raise money and he has followed state and district policies. He has been a breath of fresh air to the community. It has been a real change from the previous few years. I wish the district could keep him in that spot. However, if it is Mr. Wilson, I am sure he will continue the positive progress.
  21. Speaking of revenue, from what I hear things are going pretty well in Bellevue. For some reason :sssh:, the money made at the gate this year was much higher than the past several years. The athletic department will finish in the black for the first time in several years. Bellevue boosters know the reason for both.
  22. The 6A is a two team race between Conner and SK and Campbell and Ryle playing for third and fourth. Boone will be the odd team out.
  23. It will not matter what Boone County does. Everyone in Northern Kentucky knows they are playing for the #5 seed in the District. Conner has the best young coach in the area, according to everyones beliefs and they have all that great talent back from last year. Ryle has a tremendous amount of talent as they always do. Simon Kenton has Miles Simpson and they beat Boone in the Playoffs last year. Campbell County throws the ball so as everyone knows Boone can't stop the pass. It makes me wonder one thing, when was the last time Boone County lost a district game during the regular season?
