Fact - consolidating this late is bush league. It was done to give Mercer a chance to win a state championship in AA this year with the help of some VERY gifted Harrodsburg players. Consolidating this late leaves 10 teams, and probably 2 more that were scheduled to scrimmage Harrodsburg, in a very bad situation. Any way you cut it the timing is terrible! If they were going to do it they should have done it in two years; that way everyone would have had time to prepare and they would be in the same school. This makes Mercer look foolish and they will look even more foolish if they don't win a state title with this loaded team.

It would have been nice for this merger to be planned better so those teams would actually have had time to get a game. After all, Harrodsburg is under contract to these teams to play. I hope they have to pay the standard financial penalty to get out of these games. It does not speak well of either school system involved that this merger has been planned so poorly and so late.

It is not great for the scheduled opponents of Harrodsburg. It will be tough finding games for those schools.

You have to be kidding. Boone's superintendent is not about what is right or what is best for the kids, he is ALL about greasing the squeaky wheel. Always has been.

From what I hear Lincoln is planning to attend a junior college in Minnesota. He also has some offers from several NAIA schools. As far as problems with BHS guidance counselors, that is TOTALLY off base. The current administration, guidance counselor included, has worked hard to properly prepare ALL the students for success after high school. From what I have seen and heard they go the extra mile for the students of Bellevue High School, Lincoln included.

I don't know if Buddy Ryan went to high school in Kentucky, but he lives here now and he has a Super Bowl ring.

Bill Curry was the coach at KY when Shaun was a senior, not Hal Mumme. Curry and his staff thought Shaun was too slow to play in the SEC.

This should not be a surprise to anyone.

T and X are good at taking about 1500 to 2000 boys and finding 11 who can play really well. Not that tall of an order in my opinion.
