Ashland to Coastal Carolina for team camp.

I understand what it's not. It's not what I saw last night.

A basketball purist loves the Spurs offense and team play. No one-on-one, dribble-drive silliness.

8th grader from Ashland is Mykasa Robinson, the sister of Miss Basketball candidate for 2015 Alexis Robinson. Mykasa played very well in all three state tournament games at Diddle.

I guess he'll be content with going along for the ride again.

Congrats to all of the girls!! And a special shout out to the four girls from the 16th region who made the squad. Impressive.

Cats missed more FTs than UConn took. Turnovers hurt badly. Randle only 7 shots, looked gassed the whole game. Lee was totally deer in the headlights- had no idea what was going on. Napier was the difference- could tell he had been there before. Congrats to the Cats players on a great run in the tournament. UConn beats the preseason number one(UK) ,beats Villanova, beats the number one team going into the tournament(Fla.) and beats the team that 90% of the analysts picked to win it (Mich State). and that's after getting smoked by 30 by Louisville in conference tourn. Amazing.

If BBN shows up at any/all of the venues the youngsters have a shot at going really deep into the tournament. If its actually "neutral" , they could be in trouble early.

A few years back the Rose Hill basketball program wasn't allowed to play in the district, regional or KHSAA State Tournament because they were suspended from them but the were allowed to play in the all A. The reason they could do that was because it's not considered a KHSAA event. It's just a few games being played by small schools and a few schools that aren't so small.

No senior leadership.

That team was also special because it had arguably the top two players in the country mixed with unselfish upperclassmen. Gotta have leadership. Who will step up? If no one, they are in trouble.

Patterson and Miller were the leaders of those squads. Who will step up this year? It has to be a freshman. Not going to happen with WCS or Poythress or the senior mop-up timers.

Counting exhibitions they are 11 games into the season. Poythresss, I don't think, has been sold on the role Cal has for him. Don't know who the leader will be. Can't see it being him or WCS. Someone needs to step up in that role.

How many of the Rose Hill transfers to Ashland started out at Ashland? I know that fact always gets left out of the story about the kids leaving RH and coming to Ashland. Not all of the transfers came to Ashland a few went to Russell, Boyd County, Scott County.

At least the World Series was on so not many saw this display.

You are right on it. And these guys have been together for 17 years. You'll never see that in pro sports again. Heck, college players in basketball are there barely over 17 weeks. Sad.

Dan Patrick's sources heard the same thing about the entourage. Him dropping that far just doesn't make sense.
