Elliott makes first ever trip to regional tournament.

First time in 23 years West has not advanced to Regional. GoRadio reported tonight that the coaching position at West would be posted, and as of now Coach Stan McGlone said he was not applying.

I hope that West gets a good coach and I am sure they will with the fine and long tradition they have. West Carter has a great program and has had for years. Who could forget the Legendary coach John "Hop" Brown, May he R.I.P.. great coach and a greater man and human being.

I hate to see Coach Perry's career end with a loss as she is related to my wife. :cry:

 

However, I'm very proud that Elliott County has made it to the Regionals at Morehead State for the first time in school history. Congratulations girls!!! Hopefully the girls will be playing in the state tournament and so will the boys.

I'm not so sure....Those brother vs. sister games are very competitive and can bring out the best in both players.

I respect Coach Perry and wish her well. I expect West to find a well-qualified coach.

 

I am really proud of the Elliott County girls.

 

As for coach Brown, I didn't like him. Our personalities clashed. It happens. He did a great deal for the West Carter program, and future generations of Lady Comets will benefit from the foundation he helped lay at WC.
