They got a little excited the last 5 min. and didn't take care of the ball on about 6 straight posessions.! They let a 11 pnt. lead slip to 1 before gaining control. BUT this bunch of boys could be tough on a good nite. They just may win a few more before it's over !:thumb:

Scotty Ross made some clutch free throws at the end to seal it. Gotta five it to Boyd, they battled all game long.

I mean no disrespect to anyone whatsoever with this, but I thought Boyd was much better tonight than the first meeting between the 2 teams.

Boyd is not better without the Seniors that quit, but they are playing more under control now and making better decisions.

It's good to see Russell get another win. I, too, thought Boyd County was much better than the first time these teams played. They exhibited an all out effort from beginning to end. They sort of reminded me of Russell in that way. They are young and undersized, but they played hard the whole time. Congratulations to Russell on the win, though. I hope they keep up the exciting games at home! They've had some good ones this year.

If they are playing more under control and making better decisions, I don't understand how that doesn't translate to better. And frankly, the head coach and his staff have to receive some of the credit for that regardless of the reason for the departures. JMHO.

I had this one pretty close, I believe that I had picked Rusell by 5.
