  1. Apparently, they have a coach who doesn't win, doesn't get along with parents or boosters, and sends emails that end poorly. They also have a schedule that is way too difficult. They also have a principal who isn't working well with the students. They also have a bunch of parents' whose expectations are too high. Who knows what will happen. I hope things change.
  2. I wonder who you all are talking about.
  3. No offense to MNH, but I am embarrassed as CovCath alum at the state of this program. Nonstop bickering, students not showing up for games, a team that can't win....what has happened...
  4. I am a 2007 grad, so all I remember is 2006.
  5. I am not as close to CovCath athletics as I used to be, but Mark Wehry, Sheila Roedig, and Mr. Ellison, and Mr. Guiduigli (I am unfamiliar with Reese) have all done great things for CovCath athletics, and, if you all choose to bring up their negatives, you must mention their positives. They have sacrificed a lot for the school, its teams, and its athletes, and I believe that needs to be mentioned.
  6. Agreed. They moved up because there were not area schools in our respective division. Now, we are going to try to push all of the schools with bigger enrollments than us out of 5A because they have an advantage in terms of student numbers. Then, being only Highlands and CovCath left, we will create a Catholic School 5A Championship and a Non-Catholic School 5A championship.
  7. Problem is, they had the same guys last year, and everyone still pitched around Luke. Krumps needs to put his guy with the best chance of getting on-base at #2, Luke at #3, and whoever can move the runner at #4.
  8. From what Megan told me, the transplant did not work, because his own cells have suddenly grown in number and defeated Kelly's cells. Like I said, it is nothing they have seen before. He apparently is doing very well though. It's very, very bizarre.
  9. CovCath has played (according to the Massey Ratings)... #3 in the state, Highlands #10 in the state, Beechwood #28 in the state, New Cath (their weakest non-mandatory game) From Ohio.... #2 in the state, Elder (#19 in country) #19 in the state, Cardinal Mooney They will play (from KY) #1 in the state, St. X (#3 in country) # 34 in the state, North Hopkins
  10. I thought it was darn near impossible to not score when up by that much, that late. Good to see Coach Brossart knows how to pull in the reins....
  11. Wow. Who is this kid? must be too bad being behind Deuce.
  12. I'd vouch for him as well, but I think he would tell me that I hurt his credibility more than anything.
  13. I have a very relevant contribution to this thread. You are thinking of Manute Bol, not Dikembe.
  14. Good to see that the competition is back up in this classic.
  15. Matty is coming home today for the first time in close to a month.
  16. Matty is doing very well, and his blood counts are even higher than they expected them to be at this point, but something that they haven't seen at Children's Hospital is going on. I will copy from what I read: The idea of going through the transplant was for Kelly’s cells to replace Matt’s cells. They had hoped that the “engraftment level” of Kelly’s cells in Matt would be “100% Kelly.” However, the transplant did not go as expected since the majority of Matt’s blood cells are “his,” not “Kelly’s.” Frankly, it is not something they have ever experienced at Cincinnati Children’s; they have never even heard of it before in someone with Matt’s background/work-up/transplant process. It is something they will monitor over time just as they would have if Kelly’s cells had completely replaced his. Matt wanted everyone to be aware of this unexpected turn. We understand the situation is complicated and confusing but this is where we are.
  17. Agreed, but I can't see that happening. That's not Listerman ball.
  18. Max Pauly was an excellent volleyball player (as well as some others from the Junior class)
  19. Maybe Shaun Alexander?
  20. wildcat- no way J. Counts starts at the 2-guard spot.
  21. No idea, but welcome back. We've missed your info (but not your avatar) :jump:
  22. How come only 3 DB's? And were Mitchell and Gray CB's or Safeties? Because I would take Joseph Casanada at CB over near anyone. Also, I'd consider Blesser at QB instead of Ellison.
  23. Very impressive.
  24. Forgot to give some updates- The surgery went as planned and both Matt and Kelly are recovering well at this point. Kelly's cells should start to grow in Matt within the next few days, and that is when he might start feeling nauteous and/or loses some hair. Keep the prayers coming.
