Prayers for CovCath Matty Klein

Featured Replies

Starting Right Fielder for the CovCath Baseball team Junior Matty Klein is in Children's Hospital. Matt is not only a very good young baseball player but is a all around great kid, who is as polite and friendly as will ever know. Please say a prayer for him and his family, it has been a tough week for them and him!

Below is a E-mail that went out via the CovCath network!

From CovCath about Matty,

Just to give you an update on Matty Klein. He is a junior at CovCath. He is at Children's Hospital. He underwent a bone marrow biopsy Friday afternoon and the first results came back Saturday indicating it was probably not leukemia. However today the doctors told his mom and dad that he may have a blood disorder, aplastic anemia. Matty is to undergo further tests tomorrow and Tuesday to determine a diagnosis. Matt and Mary Jean appreciate all the prayers and ask you to crank up the prayers for Matty the next few day.

I've known Matty and his family for several years. He is a first rate young man from a first rate family. This is very sad news. Hopefully they have caught this very early and he can be cured of it. I know he's been very sick as of late and he'll have a tough road to go as he overcomes this disorder. Best wishes to him and Matt and Mary Jean and we look forward to seeing you on the ball field in the near future.

All the best to this young man and family. Keep us updated.

My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family!

Thoughts and prayers to this young man and his family from all over in Ft. T. It's times like these that put life really in perspective.

As someone wrote to our family,

"Even though we are competitors on the field, as parents we are all in this together".

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your son for a speedy recovery.

Matty, you are in our thoughts and prayers....."with a spirit that will not die."

This was the e-mail I recieved earlier from a friend of Matt Klien:

Matt asked that you continue to keep Matty and the Klein family in your prayers. The results of the bone marrow biopsy came back this afternoon and the doctors have diagnosed Matty as having MDS, Myelodysplastic Syndrome where the bone marrow cannot produce blood cells effectively. He will remain in Children's Hospital for now as he is very susceptible to any infection. Please lift Matty and his mom and dad, Matt and Mary Jean and his family up in prayers. Thanks

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. Our Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women,

and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come

Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;

And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us;

And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil. Amen.

Thoughts and Prayers .Stay strong young man .
