  1. When was the last time Scott beat CovCath?
  2. Very true, but I've seen some overzealous EC hating at times on here. But I say keep it all going. Keeps me entertained
  3. So if Beechwood wins and CCH beats HC, then the 35th is: 1) Holmes 2) Beechwood 3) CovCath and 4) HC, right? And if HC wins and HC beats CCH, then it is: 1) Holmes 2) HC 3) Beechwood 4) CovCath But if HC wins and CCH beats HC, then it comes to a tiebreaker? How is that determined? Is that all correct?
  4. For Elliott to seriously contend for a state title, it's going to come down to coaching and more specifically the discipline to take it to basket, especially when you have two essentially mid-major D1 schools with Scott County and Holmes.
  5. I really don't like the chances of a team that relies on the 3-ball that much at Rupp, simply because of how many games you have to play in a short time span. EC is a good free throw shooting team- IMO it would be smart to drive the lane and get to the line early, and dish it out for 3 later in the game.
  6. From looking at the stats, I believe it said that 9 of Elliott County's 10 shots in the first quarter were beyond the arc?
  7. From looking at the statistics to me, that's the first thing that I saw. Too reliant on the 3's. That will not cut it at Rupp- you simply can't stay hot for that many games in a row.
  8. I don't know but someone needs to be with him at all times. Between this and the UK loss....... Anyways, nice win for SV. I'll admit it- sometimes those of us (the non-players, at least) from NKY, Lexington, and Louisville are very skeptical about teams from outside those areas. And while the Elliot County people have been hammering us about this for a few weeks now, I think this game proves one thing- from outside those aforementioned areas, it's not just 1 team we have to worry about- Shelby Valley is a contender too!
  9. That's where good coaching comes into play. Who knows if it will be a problem for Holmes or not. I can't remember; are you a fan of Henley or not?
  10. I get what you two are saying, but if you beat the best early on you may let your guard down afterwards.
  11. No offense to Cooper, I wish them the best of luck, but is the poll title seriously "Who wins?"
  12. Thelen and Machinot both moved up to Varsity, so they lost their top 2 players. Seems like they are having a difficult time adjusting. Personally, I think it will be for the better for them- it reminds me my class. We lost our 2 best classmates to Varsity as sophomores and it forced us all to step it up. In the long-run, I look for this class to do big things.
  13. Final per the KHSAA scoreboard. Was anyone there?
  14. Best post I've ever read on this website. Thank you, Sparkey. And like Clyde said, God Bless You.

  16. I was but they kicked me out for not irrationally and infinitely hating George Bush. Thanks though. :thumb:
  17. Feel free to start another thread, but you can't say things like this and, even though we have repeatedly told you otherwise), continue to get away with it. That simply is not true, unless your definition of Christian brothers differs wildly from my own.
  18. Counts did not do much today. And if Wellbrock could hit a single free throw, he would be a very, very dangerous player. He makes Shaq look like Jodie Meeks at the line. Colonels shot 50% from 3-point land, including Ives 5/10
  19. Good to see the Colonels winning again! Isler and Wellbrock played great. It seems that Maile and Ives are going to play well every night from this point on- maybe it is the two big men who will be the X-factor. Isler showed a smooth left hand and he took it strong to the basket. Wellbrock was a man on the boards and would have had a double-double if not for some missed bunnies and questionable no-calls. Maschinot played a fine game as well, limiting turnovers and hitting his open shots. On the bad side, Sorrell's 9 points were all in garbage time. The kid can flat out shoot- made 3 of his 5 three-pointers. This team needs someone to be a consistent third or fourth option- I think it should be him. Don't write the Colonels off yet!
