Eta Rho Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Upper: 12 v 14 3 v 5 6 v 1 7 v 13 Lower: 11 v 4 9 v 2 10 v 15 8 v 16 Thoughts?
Wireman Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Actually, I'm not naming any teams yet because I guarantee that there will be a few upsets in the districts and regionals.
Tiger1 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Looks like the 7th region has a great chance to get to the finals. Looks like SC, Holmes and EC have a tough road to the finals.
Wireman Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Looks like the 7th region has a great chance to get to the finals. Looks like SC, Holmes and EC have a tough road to the finals. Actually they have a tough time just getting to the tournament. I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch.
bigblueinsanity Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 No team has a easy ride. Every year teams are upset. No one has punched there ticket yet.

bigblueinsanity Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Bottom Bracket Friday Night will be a big crowd. Could be Scott Co vs Holmes Mason Co/GRC vs Elliott Co
inthesuite Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Holmes vs Christian County could potentially be a interesting game, if they both are lucky enough to make it.
Tiger1 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Actually they have a tough time just getting to the tournament. I wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch. Holmes and Elliott will make it to Rupp...count on it. Scott County has a much tougher road to Rupp with the 11th region being loaded with some quality teams.
Lion Mania Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 (edited) Wow--Could we see a Anderson-EC rematch on Thr nite?? 16th was the last ball out last year and again this year. Could we see a Holmes-Scott Co. rematch in the quarters on Friday nite?? Will any of these teams even be there?? Agree-7th appears to be the happiest of the power regions right now, with their toughest opponent probably being the opening game vs. the 13th region. I was hoping not to see 7-9-11 until Sat nite, but Sat morning is second best scenario. Top bracket (Wed afternoon) appears to be the weakest quad bracket. EC could see re-match's against AC, GRC, or Shelby Valley in their quad. Edited January 30, 2009 by Lion Mania Forgot Mason also which could be a re-match
Eta Rho Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 If I had to predict: West Jessamin v Hazard Owensboro v North Hardin Fairdale v Paducah Tilghman Eastern v Corbin Scott Co v Warren Central Holmes v Christian Co Mason Co v Shelby Valley Anderson Co v Elliott Co The top bracket is tough to predict though as Hazard is the only real favorite to win their region. Every other region has 2-4 teams capable of winning the region.
BANKSHOT Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Bottom Bracket Friday Night will be a big crowd. Could be Scott Co vs Holmes Mason Co/GRC vs Elliott Co Shelby Valley will crash this party.
inthesuite Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I am already so excited, should be a great tournament! and the Friday night session will be a flaming hot ticket!
