Boys Sweet 16 Bracket

Hope all the other teams view it just like you do!

No disrespect meant here but honestly EC doesn't match up well with either Holmes or Scott Co if EC and one of those two make it to the semi's.

I will say that in my opinon, if Elliott makes it to Rupp, I wouldn't overlook them.

I doubt any team or coach will be overlooking a match up with a top 5 team.

Fans...probably.

But I can tell you for a fact that coaches and players won't come in overlooking anyone in the bottom bracket. IMO any one of those teams could come out of the lower bracket and win the state title.

If Corbin makes it to the Sweet 16, they have a good chance @ making a run to the finals. They have the talent to play with any of the regions in the upper bracket.

IF they can get past the 7th region winner, I could see Corbin playing Saturday night.

I think the winner of the 7th/13th game will make it to Saturday night out of the upper bracket.

I agree, the bottom is a much tougher road than the top.

The bottom half is a whole lot tougher! The 4th Region (Warren Central, Bowling Green, etc.) got possibly the worst draw they could have gotten with the 11th region. They will have to play the first game on Thursday against a team that is from the Lexington area. To be honest, the only two regions this year that I think are definitely stronger than the 4th are the 11th and the 7th. So, all the way around this was not a good draw for the 4th.

That bottom half is a gauntlet. It's going to be very hard for any team on the bottom portion to win it, they will be dead by Saturday night IMO. With that being said, I think Holmes still wins it, they can match up favorably with any team in the bottom half IMO, Scott will be the toughest test, Elliott will be fairly easy IMO-Elliott Fans begin your bashing now.

BigSpikes--We used to get upset, but now it doesn't even cause us to blink. We now embrace and love the Rodney Dangerfield row. For all those others that want to--bash away. We love people taking us lightly and thinking they are going to wipe the court with us. When we are weak, then are we strong.

I agree we don't match-up with Holmes or Scott County, but then again we didn't match up with about every team at Myrtle Beach that I saw who looked like they had something close to college front lines. Again, keep on bashing and we will keep on smiling and being happy!!! Nothing we ain't heard by now anyway. To the naysayers and bashers--Love you guys.....

I disagree. Where there are teams out there that EC matches up better with, Elliott can matchup with either team decent.

EC/Holmes

Et Faulkner/Riley

Ev Faulkner/R Johnson

Ferguson/J Johnson

T Knipp/Pittman

C Knipp/I forgot his name

EC/SC

Et Faulkner/Jackson

Ev Faulkner/Euton

Ferguson/Manning

T Knipp/Phares

C Knipp/Guyn

I just hope that who ever comes out of the lower bracket, doesn't run out of gas before the championship game, that is what seemed to happen to holmes last year after knocking of Lex Cath!

6'0 Riley v 6'1 Et. Faulkner

6'5 R. Johnson v 6'1 Ev. Faulkner

6'4 J. Johnson v 6'2 Ferguson

6'7 Pittman v 6'7 T. Knipp

6'6 Arnold v 6'2 C. Knipp (I'd expect Arnold to be starting by this point)

6'4 Jackson v 6'1 Et. Faulkner

6'8 Euton v 6'1 Ev. Faulkner

6'3 Manning v 6'2 Ferguson

6'7 Phares v 6'7 T. Knipp

6'3 Guyn v 6'2 C. Knipp

There's going to be mismatches all over the floor IF EC plays either SC or Holmes because of both teams' size. EC will struggle with Holmes' athleticism and struggle with SC's overall size.

All a moot point right now though. We'll never know unless each team actually takes care of business to get to that game. Good luck to you and your Lions. Hopefully we'll both have the opportunity to see this match up between our respective teams.

i don't think i'll go to one game in the top bracket. But the bottom bracket is a tough draw or a great draw. Matters how you look at it.

I agree 100%.

I much rather face one of the top teams early in the tournament, as it gives you more time to prepare.

I get what you two are saying, but if you beat the best early on you may let your guard down afterwards.
