I like the draw St. X received. If they play the way they are capable of they shouldn't have a problem with the Creek which would set up a great match up with the Eastern - Ballard survivor. The Tigers knocked off Eastern 6-0 a few weeks ago, but their game with Ballard was rained out. Male and Trinity will be an awesome game in the other semifinal as both Atherton and J'town pose no real threat. With this being Coach White's final season with the Tigers I would like nothing better then a regional championship; however, I believe you will see Male vs. Eastern in the finals with possibly one of the greatest pitching matchups of the year. P.S. All games will be played at UofL. :thumb:

FYI, in Louisville private schools aren't the only schools that can draw from a limited area. I have no problem with X, T, LC, and other private schools in this state joining with other private schools from other states in our region and forming a superpower football conference with our own championship. It's not like these schools don't have the funds to make it happen. :dancingpa :thumb:

I never knew about situation between the Rockheads and the Bullfrogs. I was thinking about their games in 1995 and 1996 the other day and wondered why they haven't scheduled each other since. Thanks for the info. :thumb:

A lot of Vic's success will hinder on the OL, which, IMO will be young and inexperienced this season compared to last. If anyone knows anything different about the OL I would love to hear it being a former X OL. :thumb:

The only way teams are going to be able to compete with the St. Xavier's, Trinity's, Boyle Co.'s, Danville's, Fort Thomas's, etc. is to flat out get better! There is no way around it! I'm sick and tired of people - sadly they are mostly adults - trying to find ways to "win" a championship. Championships are won in the weight room, film room and on the practice field - and that's just the minimum. Championships are not won by tweeking a playoff system or adding more classes. Maybe I'm a little biased because I went to St. X; however, maybe I'm a little mad because I, my team, we paid a price which resulted in two state titles during my four years. We, and every team that has won a championship in any sport, know what it takes and that's why we compete and train at the highest level. We sacrifice social lives and "the best years of our lives" as some people like to call high school for the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into building a championship program. Think about this: What are we really teaching our leaders of tomorrow if we change everything so more schools can win a championship? What will happen when their education lives are over and they are out trying to survive in the real world? You have to pay a price to wear these - and it's not tuition! :fight: :thumb:
