  1. Any word on where this will be played? Obviously, PJCS has the best playing surface, but it's Male's call. As for the game, I have not seen either team play, but judging from what I read in the papers, BGP, and what I see on Friday Night Flights I would have to say that Male will pull this one out. Sure they let X back in the game first go round, but that was their first true test of the season and since then they had a four quarter game with both Manual and PRP the past two weeks. Male has beter athletes at the skill positions and I think their O and D lines are more physical then X this year. The Bulldogs haven't been in this position since Bush's senior year and I think Coach Red will have them more then ready for the contest this Friday. Male 24 St. X 12 :thumb:
  2. You were "shocked when you seen them"? Where did you go to school? I was also wondering the same thing, but at least it's the same color gold as the uniform. Part of me thinks that as long as Vic produces the way he has all season then who cares what cleats he wears; however, I would like to see everyone in black cleats. I also have the same feelings towards the vizors that players wear on their facemasks. Are they wearing it for looks or do they really get poked in the eye? You can also make the same point about gloves; some players wear them; some don't. Some are white, black, green, gold, gray, etc. I've also noticed a couple Trinity players wearing black cleats the past couple years when the team prodominatly wears white. O well. I guess if Coach G or Wags has a problem with it they will deal with it. :thumb:
  3. There is no way to justify tearing down goal post these days! Too many people have been hurt, and killed, because of such heinous acts by other fans.:irked: :thumb:
  4. Ok...what's the deal with the thumbtacks? :thumb:
  5. Glenn Mason will be there in future; talent wise he is down this year; hopefully, he has a decent recruiting class coming in next season and will be given more support because he's a class-act coach. As for the Bucks they couldn't be stopped yesturday. Pittman ran all over field for 100+ yards and 2 TD's and Troy Smith was as consistant as he's been all year. Only dark spot were Smiths' and Beany Wells' fumbles. AJ Trapasso sat the bench the whole game - always good when you're the punter and Aaron Pettrey nailed his only field goal attempt and was 4/5 on PATs. Defensively, The Bucks recorded their first shutout of the season and didn't allow Minnesota past the 50 until the 4th quarter - and that was because of a muffed punt by Malcolm Jenkins. They also had another INT and a few fumble recoveries. HOWEVER, the highlight of the day was OSU alumnus and professional golfing great Jack Nicklous dotting the "i" in Script Ohio at halftime. Nicklous was just the fifth nonband member to be given the honor. The others are the late actor/comdian Bob Hope, former Ohio State football coach Woody Hayes, former OSU ticket director Bob Ries and former university president Novice Fawcett. *pictures to follow soon! :thumb:
  6. Tigers finish the regular season on a strong note. :thumb:
  7. Like I said in another thread, I was at Manual Stadium last week for a soccer match and the field had never looked better. It may be slick, but it will not be as bad as some people are thinking. :thumb:
  8. Instead of screaming at the refs why don't you cheer for your team? :thumb:
  9. I haven't been to Male, but I was at Manual Stadium last week and the field looked great. Too bad they will be putting turf down next season; how about some new lights! I couldn't imagine St. X choosing to play at Male if Manual Stadium or PJCS are available. :thumb:

  11. Tough break for the team up north, but your games against Penn State and Iowa just become more interesting; not to mention the one on 11/28. GO BUCKS michigan sucks! :thumb:
  12. The first half of last nights game was the worst half of football UK has played all year. USC did everything they wanted to do on O and shut down UK on D. It was refreshing to see that UK didn't lay down - as past UK teams would have done - and made the game interesting until the very end. I know some people are questioning the coaching of Brooks and Archer, but I think this team will only get better as the season goes along. One poster said that the Vandy game will be the true measuring stick. I agree with that statement and would also include Miss. St. too. If UK beats both of those teams and UL - Monroe UK be bowl eligible! I don't know about you, but as a UK fan that makes me pretty excited about the second half of the season, whereas, in the past 5 or so years I would be turning my attention to something else. :thumb:
  13. I think this will be a much closer game then everyone is making it out to be. :thumb:
  14. Possible losses by the above mentioned teams which would allow the team up north to move to #2 by November 18th: West Virgina 11/2 @ Louisville Southern Cal 11/11 vs. Oregon Auburn 10/7 vs. Arkansas 10/14 vs. Florida 11/11 vs. Georgia Florida 10/7 vs. LSU 10/14 @ Auburn 10/28 vs. Georgia 11/11 vs. South Carolina :thumb:
  15. I expect The Bucks to win a tight 4 quarter game. :thumb:
  16. In 1999 Trinity scored on their second drive, X answered. Trinity then scored again, X answered, but we missed the kick. 14-13 Rocks at the half. Second half was total domination by X to win 28-14. :thumb:
  17. My toughts exactly. Tigers roll by doublt digits. :thumb:
  18. Actually, history in this rivalry says that neither team can overcome a 10 point margin. :thumb:
  19. I also LOVE Manual Stadium and always preferred the visiting locker room. :thumb:
