Here we are, only a few months away from the start of the 06 season and here's what I've seen and/or know so far...

Male is taking their high octane offense to the passing league/tournament at Notre Dame this year going up against some of the best Pennsylvania, Indiana & Ohio have to offer...offense is looking pretty sharp and of couse, Beaumont is looking as good as expected. Justin Green is also looking outstanding and is looking like he is going to be giving some defenses some problems this year (as expected)...

Manual: No new updates yet, havent had a chance to check them out

St. X- Kids look stronger than ever QB is extremely accurate. Not much has changed with this team but they are looking really good.

PRP- Chris Wolfe has this team focused and has a lot of numbers out this year. Lineman are big, quick and receivers and running backs are looking solid. Lot of potential playmakers on this team.

Iroquois- Visited Grant Co. for a 7 on 7 matchup on Tuesday. Numbers are decent but the word is there is no talent behind the starters. Also learned that QB Mike Marshall, a young man who came to the Raiders with a lot of expectations of turning around a team is INELIGIBLE. Terrible blow to Iroquois. QB is now Marquise McCAffey. Strong sprinter with decent arm. Spoke to Off. Coordinator's dad tonight and he said they looked pretty good. Starting unit scored on 6 of 7 possessions including 3 TDs that went for 50 yards or more. Said Defense is learning new scheme and struggled against Grant Co. Should be interesting to see what happens this year if linemen hold up.

Butler-No news as of today but am planning on watching them next Tuesday.

Zoeller is out right now. Had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago. Surgery went well, on a healthy path to recovery.

Dr. said he 'could' be available by end of 7 0n 7, but feels confident he will be ready to go for August.

He might have a fight on his hands. Chris Wade has looked really sharp so far during the 7 on 7's! Zoeller is a better runner, Wade the better passer. With Vic and the other running backs they have, Wade's arm would give the offense another dimension!

Watched them at Waggener on Tuesday. I think your right, many of the skill players looked like they had a productive winter in the weight room! They looked pretty good for a 'running team'. Chris Wade did a nice job. :thumb:

That's the kind of news I like to hear about the Tigers! I have heard they have been working extremely hard in the weight room.

With the RB's that we will have this year (Anderson, Finch, Eckman, Simmons) I don't think we will be worried about having a QB who throws for over a thousand, although with Zoeller, Wade, and Hall at QB, and Passifume, Simmons, Anderson and others receiving, I honestly think the opposition will be going beserk trying to defend this multi-headed Tiger attack. :fight:

So Daniel Passifume is no longer a part of the QB depth chart? I've talked to a few X-men that are of the opinion that he would been able to move X's offense after Curley went down in the state game.

Daniel does not appear to be part of the quarterback equation. I too am part of the group who believes he would have been the better option to replace Brent. But that's a non-issue at this point. If Daniel were 3" taller and a little stronger no one could bump him from the job. He is very smart, knows football very well and could run hte offense extrmely well. But hte coaches have made thei decision so Daniel is making himself a very reliable reciever.

I think you would have to go back to Paul Karem and Rick Buhener.
