Yeah, cancelled a matchup with "Male", not Manual, I repeat, not Manual. I know they both start with M, but please, don't confuse yourselves. Hiding behind those big 3 again huh? Never fails! You are getting exposed more and more and it hurts. Aren't you in the district with male and x? What state champ have you lost to on a yearly basis. Last time I checked, Trinity has been the 4A champ and was this past year. A regular season bowl game in a rebuilding year after losing 4 out of 5 starters on one of the best o-lines the state has ever seen isn't to bad when you won two straight regional titles and lost in state semi's to arguably one of the greatest high school qb's ever. Again, besides beating us in a bowl game during a rebuilding year with a senior laden team, what 1. do you have to show for it; and 2. how much success did you have afterwards? PLD played in a region championship this past year and is expected to do so again. How far did Manual make it? How far have they made it since '90? Be real proud of that guaranteed 3rd or worse finish in "district" every year. It's worth bragging about. Scream louder please.:sssh:  :ylsuper:

Interesting wording. And then you go and choose to bring up Trinity whom we've not only played the last three years, but BEAT in 03, the senior year of one of the greatest high school QBs ever.. And yet in the end, they got the ring, and Manual did not... but did Dunbar? Didn't think so.

Nice try. No cigar.

This is more fun than Candy Land:D

You say Manual's offense is outdated, yet it was one of the most productive offenses in 4A.

You say PLD has proven themselves to be a better program, yet in the only head to head (junior led) Manual blew them out.

You say the big dogs respect PLD cause you like to play anyone, yet last time you were scheduled to play a "big dog" you ran with your tails between your legs.

You say Manual cries about thier competiton, yet Manual is the only school in 4A that chooses to play all members of the big three, as well as region 1 power Warren Central.

Please show me at which point I've been exposed?

Last year Male was forced to play Shawnee after PLD backed out.

This year Manual was supposed to play Shawnee but stepped up and are playing Brentwood Academy out of TN. And this is in what may be our rebuilding year, in which we replace all 5 offensive linemen and the entire backfield, just our TE returns on Offense. We also only have 2-3 returning starters on Defense returning.

Your arguments don't hold water, we don't even need Marissa Tomei to explain it.

pldgreatno2, when was the last time you guys even sniffed a run at the semis or state? YOU! need to get off the Lexington bandwagon (because you can't hold up your end of the bargain) and start playing like you "think" you play! YES! Dunbar changed coaches but to back out of a prearranged agreement is cowardice, whether it is MANUAL or MALE. Play the best if you even think you can walk among the best. You taLK ABOUT the Manual faithful hiding behind the "Big 3" but what exactly are you doing? We play the best in the REGION evry year and , YES! maybe we come up a little short. You need to TRY to walk the walk before even attempting to talk the talk. Your lack of knowledge of high school football in Kentucky shows every time you post here but you do a good job of inspiring some dialogue!:fight:

I apologize for offending anyone with the prior post but my venom comes from the lack of sportsmanship showed by the PLD football team in our last meeting. (In Danville 2004). The team (and staff) stood in the end zone prior to kickoff and totally disrespected the players and program of Manual High School by chanting some things that I cannot repeat on this board. After the game, there was not a lot to get excited about and I guess that is the price you pay for going out into the state and representing the "Arrogant" people of Louisville in a Kickoff Classic. The people of Danville were very gracious and showed very good sportsmanship the previous year as well when they beat the "Arrogant" people from the "big City of Louisville". I find it amusing that you try to discount the arguments that programs in Louisville have while at the same time playing somewhat the same tune.

My prediction if PLD played in district "like" R2D4...... 0 - 5! Plain and simple, and if you think that is a ludicrous claim, contact Male OR Manual for a shot at the Rivalry Bowl in two years. Prove us wrong! (Or Right!).

To bank the credit of your post on one victory kind of describes the expectations don't you think? One big regular season victory a year does not make up for the lack of playoff success year in and year out. Yeah, you play the big 3 every year, great. Since you play them every year, why do you lose to them every year? Just can't seem to figure out what their doing as far as football goes huh? You beat Trinity once, congradulations! What did you do in the post season afterwards? Again, since '90, what have you done, as far as post season, in the Trophy case? And hears some clues; X runs the Veer, Male runs spread, Trinity runs Jet and Zone. And another thing, at the time you beat Trinity, who didn't? Seneca beat them also, don't hear them. You just happen to catch them at a down time, just like ya did us. When is the last time Manual has one district, region, or made it to state semi's? Anybody who has any clue, please inform me.

Wow PLD, you sure woolf a lot for a guy with a team that hasn't exactly set the world on fire. Get off the Crimsons back. They probably have the toughest playoff senario in 4A. Walk a mile in their shoes and then yap. Act like you've been there, even if you haven't.

Brian Brohm's senior year, semi state. I've answered your question, so answer mines. When was the last time Manual at the least, played in a region game?

It's not about their shoes, it's more about arrogance. We respect the fact that on that one day in Danville, they WON, great. And it wasn't even about that to start with. I stated an opinion, not about Manual, but about the wing-t being outdated. That's my opinion, I'm entitled to that. Wasn't saying that Manual wasn't talented, or couldn't beat anybody. Just that with the speed that the "big city of lou." produces, they seem restricted in certain systems.

That offense is pretty effective for them. It has given Trinity fits over the past few years. In fact, if their coaching staff would have kept running the ball in that fashion the past two years they may have a three game sweep of the Rocks going. Your quotations around the"big ciyt of Lou." denotes a little envy. And since you mentioned it, whats worse? Manual fans "arrogance" with their couple of big wins or yours with none?

Thats like saying in '03 that if we had decided to continue to run the ball on 4th and 1 instead of attempting a field goal in a blizzard, then we would have played X for the title. You don't have to win against a Lou. school to have big wins. Its really great to have open enrollment, trust that, and then continue to complain. Hey, that's easy! For our restrictions, I think we do very well with and get the most out of the talent that is "in our school district". We don't complain, win or lose, we play.

That outdated wing-t produced a couple of wins that were 40+ points IN THE FIRST HALF last year. Now I know the wing-t has it's drawbacks (the main one being that Glaser of X can design a mad defense for it), but it works.

PLD.... 2 things:

If you were in Manual's district you would be lucky to MAKE the playoffs every year, so don't boast about having more playoff success when your side gets tough in the semi's and you NEVER maked it past that. That's right, NEVER

Also, you state about our advantages with open enrollment, at Trinity, if Jefferson County did not have open enrollment, we would have a boon in enrollment because of people not wanting to send their kids to schools that think they "own" children. With that, PLD High School, is in the premeir spot in Lexington, and IMO, would be tremendously hurt by open enrollment, as they garner some of the best in and around Lexington.

*please show some respect, and WIN something before boasting.
