With the RB's that we will have this year (Anderson, Finch, Eckman, Simmons) I don't think we will be worried about having a QB who throws for over a thousand, although with Zoeller, Wade, and Hall at QB, and Passifume, Simmons, Anderson and others receiving, I honestly think the opposition will be going beserk trying to defend this multi-headed Tiger attack. :fight:

Add to that an OL that will be better than last year!

Agreed! I think this is a big point. Last year everyone seemed to believe 'big is better'. Don't get me wrong they were good players but not necessarily real agressive. This years linemen are a more agressive group and certainly more agile. I think that will help them more than pure size due to the blocking schemes they run. Ott, Sinclaire and company are a close-nit group who I think are going to give it their all. Word is the coaches are looking to move Jeff Androla from defensive guard to center. If he can transition he would really anchor the line with his size and strength. Motivation and attitude will overcome being sub-300lbs. Good group of kids.

I think you would have to go back to Paul Karem and Rick Buhener.

I don't know if I am old enough for that. :walk:

Male sould win this district. Might come as a suprise to some or most, but their due.

I don't know, if anyone is "due" in that district it is Manual. They have had many teams that were good enough to do it, just couldn't get over the hump.

Yeah, maybe so, but don't they run the run and shoot version of the wing-t. That offense is outdated. True it will win games, but titles, no.

Manual scores enough to beat everybody but X.

We scored more on X than Trinity did to win the championship, that and I don't remember a scoreing problem last time we played pld:p .

In an extremely down year. Congradulations, ya beat pld, is there a trophy. By the way, when was the last time manual has been even close to region? when was the last time they won their district, or even played in a regional championship game? Their rival game? Anything besides beating pld? I'm a former pld player who didn't lose to manual, but before u go bashing, do something worth talking about. That seems to be the Dupont trend. "Complain, then talk, play a little, lose in the first two rounds year in and year out, then back to complaining about how tough district is". We have had only 1 down year, even comparable to your standards, since 96 and that was in '04. Other than that, pld has been successful and very competative. We are respected because we don't complain, even though most this way are upset because of the having to meet trinity in the state semi's. Our kids love to play against the Rocks because an opponent like that will only make them better.

Your right we've done nothing but beat PLD 41-21.:dancingpa We still sing songs and tell tales of legend on that fateful day where our boys traveled to Danville and dispatched the mighty black and red bulldogs of Lexington.

Don't kid yourself the truth, unfair and arrogant as it might be, is that Louisville schools don't respect Lexington schools that much.

If you like playing Trinity so much, why don't you schedule them every year like Manual does?

BTW Lighten up:D

What I love, is the fact that our defense will be nasty this season, young, fast, and they lay lumber.

I think that your scapegoat is the fact that Manual is in Lou. Other than that, what? They haven't represented lou. that well in the playoffs against teams that aren't even from lou. Quit running behind the "Big3" everytime someone says something about Manual. Dunbar has been "more successful than Manual and almost every other lou. school with the exception of the big 3 which includes Male, St.X, and Trinity, not Dupont Manual. Just because you play against them in district or choose to schedule and lose to them, it doesn't make you them or put you at the same level either. Manual should respect PLD because of our success. Our school has only been up and running for 15 years and in those 15, we've had more success than alot of long time schools, such as Manual. Please dust off the old bannersand trophies or get up to date ones like ours.

Well, we um... beat you.:rolleyes::D

P.S. Why did PLD cancel the Male matchup for last season if they look forward to playing everyone?

Seriously, who calls Manual "DuPont"?

When you typically lose to a team that gets to the championship game in the playoffs, YOU can have an argument. What, you have a mighty battle with Tates Creek and automatically earn the respect of 4A?

As far as "complaining" goes, I wouldn't have Manual in any other district. I want Manual to play the best, and BEAT the best. If they can't, they can't, but it's great seeing them put up a fight while most other teams fall by 40+ points.

:sssh:;)
