Over the summer JH had a car wash to help out JaMarks family. My 6 year old son and I were dressed head to toe Meade co. I thought my car is not dirty but I should stop. After pulling up , I heard one of the kids say" look at this guy". I am glad that I stopped that day. I talked to the coach that was there and I told him that this could have been one of our kids, and that I am sorry for their lose. After washing my car I joked around that I hope that they go undefeated except fo MC. They told me that they can't help me out there (and they meant it) that they were dedicating the season to the 12th man on the field. I as a Meade Co. fan, want to say good luck to two teams that deserve to be right where you are. Play a great game and leave it all on the field. GO PURPLE DAWGS!!

Easy you and I have been on the same page just about all year but obviously, With no disrespect to a great BG team, you do not know John Hardin well enough. What this team has been through with a loss of a family member who would have starred on this team, football is a piece of cake . They have been through the intimidation of life. Football is easy. John is on a mission. D1, D2 it does not matter who they are playing. They put the pads on the same way that D1AAA kids do. My prediction is after the first 12 minutes, when the teams switch ends of the field, BG will know that the kids from Etown are not backing down. I may be wrong ,but I dont think so. I think whoever wins, it will be close. 28-24. These kids have not backed down all year and they will not Friday night.............Good Luck to Both Teams on a real fine season!!!!

I was not talking about anyone. In fact, I was talking about a good Male team. And a Greenwave team that plays hard as one unit. We do not have that star athelete that stands out, but what we do have is eleven kids that will come right at you on offense, and eleven kids that will STICK you on defense. We will come to play Friday. Will it be enough is yet to be seen. But I think we can pull it off. If I didn't, my heart and head would be in the wrong place. But since you brought it up, Meade as a team, has had a pretty good second half of the season too.:thumb:

Meade will be comming in as big underdogs in this game. Male has been scoring a lot of points. Meade has not been giving up many points. For Meade to have a chance they have to play team ball to make up for the speed that they lack. Also turnovers and special teams will also play at in the outcome of this game. I as a true Greenwave am pulling for the upset. Go Green!!!!!:thumb::thumb:

Meade wins 13-7

This was a heck of a game by both Defenses . Nelson started out very strong moving the ball on offense. Meade came out and did not take good care of the ball. 3 fumbles losing 2 of them in the first half. Also, Meade dropped a 40yard pass that would have been a td. Nelson came out and was ready to play tonight. It is a shame that one team had to lose this one. This team was not the same team that we played earlier in the season. Meades offense looked good on some drives but Nelsons D shut them for most of the night. Nelson rushed for just under 200 yards . Meade rushed for the same but had almost 220 yards passing .That may have been the difference in this one. Nelson you have nothing to be ashamed of, you left it all on the field. You are a great bunch of kids that came together at the right time of the season .Thanks for the spotsmanship and the class that you showed on the field of battle.Greenwave keep up the hard work ,We as the Greenwave nation are very proud of you. Meade had 3 thats right 3 tds called back in their meeting with Fern Creek. Over 200 yards in penalties,and still dominated every statistic except for the score,losing 19-14. The officals for that game were investigated and that crew was scheduled for another game at Meade. KHSAA pulled them off for some strange reason??? Now Male does have team speed that can give Meade problems, but if Meade plays team ball and has 11 players to the ball on D anything can happen. But 1rst we must get past a hungry Nelson team that is looking to turn the table on a 45-21 rout earlier in the season.

I watch the film on Greenwood and Nelson, Greenwood moved the ball well enough to win the game against the Cardinals. Greenwoods defense was out of place all night as was Nelson. Nelson ran the veer and the option decent but nothing great. Greenwood ran at will up the middle against Nelson. If they would have did that more they would have probably won. Meade County will be ready for the quick pitch option and the runs around the end. Nelson is just too predictable. I beleive that Meades defense will have a great game . Meade has caused it's opponents to turn the ball over 12 times in the last four games. Offense scores points ,but defense wins games. And Meade is playing some tough D . Nelson has went 4-2 since losing to Meade. Meade has went 8-0 since losing its first three games of the season. We have played a harder non district schedule i.e. Owensboro and Woodford which will make us more prepared for the big ones in the playoffs. In Nelsons 4 wins out of the last 6 they have played came against S.Oldham 3-6 , Greenwood twice 5-6, and Butler 0-11. that is 8-23 for a win lose record. This should be a good game on paper, but my gut feeling says the Greenwaves win big. Meade Co 34 Nelson Co 20 Go Green!!!!!

This game worries me a bit. Nelson kind of reminds me of us last year. I still think Meade will pull this one out though. My reason is... Nelson is a running team like their tradition holds, but Meades D loves to play teams that rely on pounding and grounding the ball through the line of scrimmage. Meades front line and linebacker core led by #54 Chris Roe is too talented for the Cardinals. What is surprising to me is how our secondary is playing. 9 ints. in the last 2 games. 2 ran back by #50 Chuck Naser for touchdowns. If we can keep the penaties in check. I think Meade will win a good one. Meade 35 Nelson 17 Go Green !!!!!

Meades defense showed up big in this game. North was held to 41 yards rushing and 86 yards passing. Meade had 3 picks this game for a total of 9 in the last 2 games. Chuck Naser ran one back 61 yards for a td. thats 2 in the last 2 games. Jeramiah Mann had 2 picks for 4 the last two games. JL Cannady hooked up with Nick Stennit for 91 yards in receiving tonight.Meades rushing attack started out slow in the 1rst,but got it going after the quarter and did enough to keep North off the field. Now we must play a good Nelson team that has been playing some good football the last few weeks. Keep doing your thing Greenwaves. GO GREEN!!!!!:thumb::thumb:

If Meade keeps playing like they have been ,they could play X in the regionals. After that I don't know. I am not counting them completely out after that because I was the at Male the night that we pulled the upset against X. A big task of course, but when a team gets on a role anything can happen. Go Green!!!!!

Meade vs Greenwood We played awful the first time we played the Gators. I believe there will be a different outcome if we should meet in the district finals. The problem is I think that Nelson has Greenwoods number . If we are fortunate enough to get past North Hardin I think we will be playing Nelson again. Go Green!!!!!

I think that the new format has its problems. If there are only four teams in your district you are going to the playoffs. Butler went 0-10 this year but is rewarded a trip to post season play. There are other schools who won 5 or 6 games with quality wins in 6a and their season is over. There should be less districts with more teams or only the top two teams in a district ought to move on .

Meade shut out North 31-0 just two weeks ago at Norths senior night. Meades D dominated that game. Unless Meade has a total breakdown , they should win this game again. PLEASE no more cheap shots on our qb-placeholder after the play is over! Meade 28 North 7 GO GREEN!!!!!!

W C started out this game very strong . On their opening drive they drove 80 yards with a bunch of short passes and qb keepers and capping it off with a perfect pass over the shoulder to # 10 with 2 defenders covering, for a 30 yard td. After that it was all Meade. Meades defense forced 4 ints. and 2 fumbles. One int. ran back by Nick Stinnet for a td, another ran back to the 10 by Chris Roe . Meade Counties defense did give up some yards on screen passes and quick slants just beyond the line of scrimmage, but nothing big . Meade had 1 easy drop in the end zone, 1 fumble at the 1 foot line, and another fumble inside the 10. Also had a 36 yard field goal hit the right upright. The Jackets have some good athletes. They were very big up front and had the speed to go with it in the back . They got beat by a team that is playing its best football at the right time. When you don't have a lot of speed or size, you must be where you are supposed to be to make plays work. We are beating teams with fundimental football. And on the defensive side if you have the ball 11 defenders will hit you unless the whistle blows. Great game Meade and good luck Jackets in the playoffs. Go Green !!!!!!!!!!:thumb::thumb:
