Ballard 44 Meade County 7
The coaching staff did not have Meade ready tonight. It was obvious what Ballards game plan was and the staff could not stop Mr. Parker. You do not put a sophmore corner on a receiver like that one on one' and leave it like that all night. From what I seen, I don't think there are many kids in the state the can guard him heads up. Also our offense is too predictable. Belly, belly, sweep over and over again. If we play the rest of our games like we did tonight we will end up 0-10. Injuries are also a factor on our team. When you play a schedule such as ours, and never see the bench, sooner or later kids are going to get injured. We have at least 8-9 players that never come off the field. I hope we have a better plan of execution next week against district foe Greenwood. Great job Ballard , you took it to us and never let up. Good luck in the district.:thumb::clap: Keep your heads up Green, it's a whole new season starting next week!

Which Winless Teams Gets Their First Win This Weekend?
Another week, another solid team. If Meade plays four complete quarters they can get this win against a good Ballard team.

Fern Creek 34 Meade County 21
This was a good ballgame. All tied up at 14 at the half. Meade took the lead late in the third 21-20, but could not answer the Tiger final two scores. Creek showed a lot of speed and finally wore out the Greenwave. Fern Creek has something that we and many teams do not have, and that is a deffense and a offense. That sure makes a difference in the fouth quarter. Meade has 9 players that never came off the field. We might want to think about subbing more in the games to come. I am proud of the way both teams played this game,. Like I said in an earlier post, we will be tough when it comes to district play. Fern Creek will be hard to beat this year with such a balanced attack with the run and pass. Good luck Tigers you played a heck of a game!:thumb: Keep your heads up Greenwave, keep doing what your doing and all will be fine.:thumb:

Meade County/Fern Creek Predictions
I thank you for the post, what a lot of people don't look at is where a persons heart is. When you lived in one place all of your life, went through the ranks from peenut to your senior year and then your kids repeat the process, should I say anything else? I am a realist, and I know when the odds are for or against us. It would take nearly a perfect game by us, and a few miscues by Fern Creek for us to pull is out. But saying that, Meade can pull this out. Will they? That is yet to be seen. Ours and your kids read these post, when our kids get on here they are going to see something positive and know that they have support. I did not mean to step on any toes. But if it is wrong to try to incourage and support our boys.....Guilty as Charged... :thumb:

Meade County/Fern Creek Predictions
You can never count out a team that has heart. We were supposed to be blowed out our first 2 games by better teams than Fern Creek, we were up at the half in both and had a chance winning both at the end. We're not as big ,fast , or have the atheletes of most of the teams we play, but we never give up, and our D plays team ball. also after averaging just 13 ppg. last year we scored 34 on a good Anderson co. team and 17 on Johns crazy deffense last week in a 22-17 loss. We don't schedule cupcakes to improve our records in non district games, Anderson Co., John, Fern Creek, Ballard, and Butler..I know that's one of the hardest non district schedules in the state. But those games do not get you in the playoffs, they prepare you for the playoffs. Meade is hungry for a win , and they are just about are where they need to be, I feel that when they get going, they will go further than the scheduled 10 games. Look at the 07 team that start 0-3. state simi finalist, with a big win over a Male team that had beaten us 3 previous times. I don't know what the future holds for the Greenwave but, I feel that this may turn out to be a special year for these kids.

I agree North is good, but I don't think they will run the table here on out.

Meade County/Fern Creek Predictions
Meade has played well against two great teams for loses. Fern Creek has never lost to the Waves. Meade will be the underdog, but if FC comes in thinking this game is already in the bag they could go home disapointed. I will say Meade by less than 7.

John Hardin 22 Meade County 17
What a game!! This was a game of Johns athletes against Meades heart. In the end John pulled it out. The score was 10-9 at the half in Meades favor. John came out and scored early in the 2nd, and Meade played catch-up the rest of the game. John deserves their #1 ranking but I am proud of the way the Wave played. They never gave up and fought till the end. It will not get any easier next week when Lou. Fern Creek comes to Brandenburg. John has the best overall team speed that I have seen in a long time, they will be a team to reckon with in this years playoffs. I will venture to say that Meade is one of the best 0-2 teams in the state. We will make some noise this year too when it come to district and playoffs Great game both teams, this was a fun one to watch!:thumb:

This was a complete mismatch. John had all the tools and dominated every phase of the game. Looks like they will end this year like last....State Bound!!!! Good luck Dawgs.

John Hardin/Meade County Predictions
Furnival was a good player, but I would take this years offense by far than last years. Meade has something that it hasn't had since Darnell Stewart and that is speed. You take 2 4.4 , 4.5 tailbacks and add in a bruising 220lb. fullback and that will give most teams problems. Also Meade has some size this year, the line averages around 235. Now thats not giant by any standards , but alot bigger as a whole in years past. Meade also has 20 seniors this year. I do agree that John should win this game ,but I don't think they will. If Meade can take care of the ball they should be ok. In last weeks loss to a good Anderson Co. team Meade had 3 fumbles and was still a late kickoff return from pulling the upset. 43-34 was the final. Heck that score was a ray of sunshine after averaging only 12ppg. last year. Meade is a deffensive minded team and is very physical. I think the score will be much closer than many of you are predicting.

John Hardin/Meade County Predictions
I think if Meade can illiminate it's turnovers they will win this one, John has a very quick and talented squad and they can hurt you with the big play. Meade will be tough up front, but showed it needs work against the pass last week. It is a coin toss but I believe the Greenwave will come to play.:thumb:

Anderson County 43 Meade County 34
This game went back and forth all night. Andersons passing game was on, they completed several quick passes for 10-15 yards. Meade didn't have an answer . The Bearcat QB is the real deal, he not only passed for a high percentage but also led his team in rushing. Meade Co. was also firing on all cilinders. The Greenwave rushed up and down the field all night. It was a passing game against the run. In the end someone had to lose and it happened to be us. I can see already that we will be pretty much one deminsional this year, our opponents are going to know that we will run it at them. But in that sense, we have something that we haven't had in a long time at Meade, SPEED. If we can cut down on turnovers we will be hard to beat this year. 4 fumbles is hard to overcome against a good team like Anderson. Coach Mofield will have us ready for John Hardin next Friday,. Congrats to the Bearcats, they were the better team, Keep your heads up Waves , you have a chance to do something special this year.. Go Green!!!!!:thumb:

Meade County/Marion County Srimmage
Hard to tell at this point, Without Meades turnovers, they would have been the better team, but turnovers as you know will kill any momentum you may have. We have got to take care of the ball this year, or its going to be a long season.
-
Meade County/Marion County Srimmage
Meade and Marion srimmaged this morning. Both deffenses looked ok except for a couple 50 yrd.+ runs for Meade. Looks like Meade has alot of work to do before the opening game against Anderson in 2 weeks. 3 fumbles and 2 ints. This was our main problem last year, if we don't take better care of the ball, we will lose some games that we can win, especially the close ones. Marion is your typical Marion team, Big, Fast, and some play makers. They will be in the mix again when playoff time gets here. Also they are well coached. The highlight of both teams in this scimmage was their respective deffenses. Marion gave up 2 TDS and scored on a fumble return. Meades D gave up some passing yards but held Marions offense to a field goal. These games are great for finding out your strengths and weekness's. If Meade can eliminate turnovers this season, we will have a chance to be a good team at the end of the year. If not we will have a long season against one of the hardest schedules in the state which includes. Anderson Co. John Hardin Lou. Fern Creek Lou. Ballard Greenwood North Hardin Lincoln County Nelson Co. Central Hardin Lou. Butler If we don't get it together we could finish 0-10 against this schedule. Go Green!!!!:thumb:
