Ballard may be the force in our district.

The Bruins do have some excellent athletes, especially Parker at WR.

The coaching staff did not have Meade ready tonight. It was obvious what Ballards game plan was and the staff could not stop Mr. Parker. You do not put a sophmore corner on a receiver like that one on one' and leave it like that all night. From what I seen, I don't think there are many kids in the state the can guard him heads up. Also our offense is too predictable. Belly, belly, sweep over and over again. If we play the rest of our games like we did tonight we will end up 0-10. Injuries are also a factor on our team. When you play a schedule such as ours, and never see the bench, sooner or later kids are going to get injured. We have at least 8-9 players that never come off the field. I hope we have a better plan of execution next week against district foe Greenwood.

Just got in from the game, and Ballard impressed the heck outta me. Especially DeVante Parker and Dominique Dickerson. Meade County simply could not stop Parker, who torched the Green Wave secondary for 235 yards and 3 TDs on 10 catches. Dickerson threw for 342 yards and 4 TDs.

 

The Bruins' ground game was almost non-existent, outside a 40-yard TD run by Mo Crawford, but Ballard didn't need to run the ball when they could pass all night long.

 

I know Meade County is banged up, but Coach Mofield knows his team can't use that as an excuse. Hopefully the Green Wave can regroup and get healed up in time for Friday's district game at Greenwood.

And Jeb, I know how frustrating the play-calling was tonight. But Ballard knew exactly where Mattingly was going to throw when Meade lined up for a pass, simply because he locked onto on receiver almost the entire game. He's lucky he didn't throw any interceptions against that defense.

Mofield is a smart coach. He will watch the film and hopefully he will have a few different deminsions next week.

HEY! I've seen this before...a Trinity person giving credit to someone else in their district.

 

Kinda like when a certain Trinity grad who made predictions in the Courier would sometimes pick them to lose to a team he knew they would beat. Nothing fires up the guys to do better than one of their own dissing them publicly.

 

As for us, we'll hold off calling ourselves a "force" until we've proven it on the field against the best competition. There's been some improvement--some of it evidenced Friday night against a good, physical team--but we still have a LONG way to go.
