Meade Co should roll to there 9th straight win. MC 42 NC 21.

This is a different Cardinal team than the Green Wave faced earlier this year. Meade is very, very good, but there was something in Bart Bruner's 'aura' this morning that makes me want to go with Nelson . . .

Nelson is a very different team they have won 4 out of their last 6. Scoring 200 points and only allowing 86 in their 4 wins. Meade did beat Nelson in the beginning of the year 45-21, but on the other hand did lose to Greenwood 28-21. Should be a very interesting game.. I am going 28-21 Nelson...

I pick Nelson County to turn the tables on Meade County in this one 35 - 28. Should be a great game.

Nelson played perhaps its worst game of the year against Meade, and found itself behind 35-0 before they even had time to blink. Everything worked for Meade Co. that night.

Meade, closer this time, 27-14.

This game worries me a bit. Nelson kind of reminds me of us last year. I still think Meade will pull this one out though. My reason is... Nelson is a running team like their tradition holds, but Meades D loves to play teams that rely on pounding and grounding the ball through the line of scrimmage. Meades front line and linebacker core led by #54 Chris Roe is too talented for the Cardinals. What is surprising to me is how our secondary is playing. 9 ints. in the last 2 games. 2 ran back by #50 Chuck Naser for touchdowns. If we can keep the penaties in check. I think Meade will win a good one.

When these two played earlier this year, things snowballed so quickly that Nelson was out of their gameplan by the 2nd qrtr. That won't happen this time, and I think folks will see just how much better Jordan Keene is running the veer.

Nelson County is a much improved team. Nothing flashy, just solid. Meade County is the posterchild for fundamental football. I think Nelson gets schooled again by the Green Wave. I think this Meade Co. team will do more damage in the playoffs than some want to believe.

I watch the film on Greenwood and Nelson, Greenwood moved the ball well enough to win the game against the Cardinals. Greenwoods defense was out of place all night as was Nelson. Nelson ran the veer and the option decent but nothing great. Greenwood ran at will up the middle against Nelson. If they would have did that more they would have probably won. Meade County will be ready for the quick pitch option and the runs around the end. Nelson is just too predictable. I beleive that Meades defense will have a great game . Meade has caused it's opponents to turn the ball over 12 times in the last four games. Offense scores points ,but defense wins games. And Meade is playing some tough D . Nelson has went 4-2 since losing to Meade. Meade has went 8-0 since losing its first three games of the season. We have played a harder non district schedule i.e. Owensboro and Woodford which will make us more prepared for the big ones in the playoffs. In Nelsons 4 wins out of the last 6 they have played came against S.Oldham 3-6 , Greenwood twice 5-6, and Butler 0-11. that is 8-23 for a win lose record. This should be a good game on paper, but my gut feeling says the Greenwaves win big.
