Fort Campbell- has won 7 in a row, with a blow out win over Trigg.

Lone Oak- still undefeated with win over Fulton City. Heath next week.

Calloway- is 7-3 and has won 4 in a row. Big test vs. graves next week.

Murray- has won 5 of 6 by big margins. Has a much needed off week to prepare for Trigg.

Caldwell- has won 7 in a row, has Mayfield this week.

Marshall-has won 6 in a row w/ a really tough game vs. Bowling Green.

Owensboro- has only one loss this season.

Trigg- has got thumped 3 weeks in a row.

Mayfield- has also been drilled 3 weeks in a row. 1st district loss in decades.

Fulton County-has lost 4 in a row w/ another coming against Trigg.

Reidland-has yet to score 100 points this season.

nope, that is my fault. They are 6-3.

Fulton city could probably be on the hot list but with their big loss to the flash i witheld them from it.

How about the Corbin Redhounds. After their barnburner of a win against Somerset, they have reeled off 9 wins in a row. With a week off to get ready for the playoffs.

these are just western kentucky teams.

Well that is like saying Ohio should be number one but they played the Dallas Cowboys and lost so now they are not that good. I think the coaches scheduled to big of a game for these kids. But it was a learning experince. Fulton City should learn from this and be a better team. We will see how they act this friday.

Hey Flash, I sure hope Lone Oak does well in the playoffs and makes its all the way to state, but, let's not get too cocky.. This is, what, the 2nd year in the last 50 they've even had a winning record and I can name 10 other teams in district 1 alone that could also be undefeated with that schedule. This isn't taking anything away from them because they've had a great year, but, I wouldn't toot too loud, because until they've had several years in a row of proven success, it could come back to haunt you.

Fort Campbell, Owensboro Catholic, Bowling Green and Warren East are in District 2 ... so you're down to nine.

 

Bottom line ... would all of those teams beat Calloway County? That's debatable ... Graves may not this week.

Just 4 Fun, Also remember Caldwell Co hammered Trigg Co 41-14 a couple of weeks ago, so you may want to consider eliminating them off the list. Paducah Tilghman program is considerably down & they would struggle against Caldwell, Hopkins & Calloway most definetly. On your list, Bowling Green is the ONLY team that Lone Oak couldn't beat but I think Lone Oak could score agains them. Marshall County would probably run the table with that schedule but remember they are 6A.

No offense, but right now Lone Oak looks, to me at least, a lot like Warren East did last year. Last year, East scored 504 points in 12 games yet ran into BG and was smashed twice. East beat a tough middle of the road Franklin (Calloway?) team, a good 1A Somerset (Final 4), and a 1st round exit District Champion Monroe Co. The rest of the schedule was cupcakes like Lone Oak's.

 

I will say that the Robinson kid must be pretty good as that he is raising eyebrows in the local universities, but we will see how the Flash fare in rounds 3 and 4 against good athletes, should they get by Calloway again.

The shame of the whole thing is that Lone Oak knew three years ago that this senior class was going to be a special one. They talked about it and geared everything for it. Then, they put together this schedule. There is no way a schedule like this helps them in the postseason. Of course, if you play good teams this year and win with a large senior class, you have to play those good teams again next year. At least Lone Oak should win six games next year with the current schedule.
