FC when was the last time Ft. Campbell went deep into the playoffs? I am curious, I remember they won a state title in the 70s under Patterson I think.

FC with the exception of OC you guys haven't really beat anybody that strong. You share some common opponents with Lone Oak, ie Union & Todd Co.

However, I don't see anyone from Fort Campbell saying that if you play with fire you get burned and I believe most would consider Paducah Tilghman and Trigg County rather decent competition, none of which Lone Oak decided to schedule this year.

FYI FC Lone Oak tried to play PT but both teams wanted the home field for gate reasons $$$ & no agreement could be reached that is what ive been told from a reliable source.

Are you comparing PT to UK or LO to UK? Either way I don't think there is that large of gap, if any, between PT and LO, at least not this year.

Paducah Tilghman has history on its side & would not benefit from playing Lone Oak. If Tilghman were to get beat then they may lose a few players to Lone Oak. You never know. Lone Oak would have nothing to lose by playing Tilghman & everything to gain. This is one year I believe Lone Oak would have beaten Paducah Tilghman.

Oh..I get it, but this thread is about high school football not the NCAA. Large division I schools play smaller in-state colleges all the time, the large school gains an likely win and the small school gains financially and exposure. Take Ohio State playing Youngstown State and Akron for example. However, I do not see the direct relevance to PT playing LO. Why might PT play LO? Maybe because they are both located in/near Paducah. Maybe because they have shared several common opponents. Maybe PT would usually count LO as a likely win. You make it sound like it would be St X playing Fulton County or something. I also believe LO would have a whole lot to loose this year had they played PT and potentially lost.

The last time Ft. Campbell went deep in the playoffs were the semi-finals in the mid 90's. Lost to a powerful Franklin-Simpson team 34-0 at home. Then Franklin-Simpson lost to Breathitt County in double or triple OT in the championship.

Fort Campbell, Owensboro Catholic, Bowling Green and Warren East are in District 2 ... so you're down to nine.

 

Bottom line ... would all of those teams beat Calloway County? That's debatable ... Graves may not this week.

Somehow, I have mentioned Trigg a few times, yet I am shot down based on their game vs. Caldwell.......I still think they are a good team!!!! And Tilghman ain't too shabby either.....
