Meade Co. 13 Nelson Co. 7 (6A)

Featured Replies

This was a heck of a game by both Defenses . Nelson started out very strong moving the ball on offense. Meade came out and did not take good care of the ball. 3 fumbles losing 2 of them in the first half. Also, Meade dropped a 40yard pass that would have been a td. Nelson came out and was ready to play tonight. It is a shame that one team had to lose this one. This team was not the same team that we played earlier in the season. Meades offense looked good on some drives but Nelsons D shut them for most of the night. Nelson rushed for just under 200 yards . Meade rushed for the same but had almost 220 yards passing .That may have been the difference in this one. Nelson you have nothing to be ashamed of, you left it all on the field. You are a great bunch of kids that came together at the right time of the season .Thanks for the spotsmanship and the class that you showed on the field of battle.Greenwave keep up the hard work ,We as the Greenwave nation are very proud of you.

Go Green!!!!!:thumb::thumb:

Sounds like war all night. I would liked to have seen Nelson County come out on top. Good luck to the Green wave the rest of the way in the playoffs.

I figured this would be a lot closer than the first time. The Cards have a lot to build upon and should take a lot of confidence out of the way they closed out the season. Nice work, Coach Bruner. :thumb:

Congratulations to Meade Co. They've got some huge momentum with the 9-game win streak.

I said it when he was hired and I'll say it again now, Bart Bruner is a soldier and he will get kids to run through a brick wall for him. I know NCHS is very, very disappointed for it to end, but they showed a lot of guts down the stretch and I think the future is bright. I guess I can pull for Meade now.

Good job for both teams, now Meade Co at Male, maybe some payback is coming since Male beat Meade by one in 2003, should be a very good game next friday night.
