That Fielder story is pretty cool. Win or lose I just hope Belfry plays well on the LOS. If they control the line and move the ball well on offense, but lose because the secondary doesn't carry the water, thats OK with me because the secondary is young and should improve as the year wears on.

Has May really blown up to 235? I heard someone say he look faster than last season. If he is really 235 and has gained speed, I have to think he at least becomes a D-IAA prospect at LB or fullback. Dotson looked thick in a recent pic I saw. Looked like he put some real good weight on. If Lee is 220, then he has lost weight. (which he needed to do IMO) I expect big things out of Webb, ala Phillip Varney, Matt Smith, and Bobby Burton of recent vintage.

Hounds, I think that is a decent assessment, but Belfry's QB can throw a bit more than in years past. Nevertheless, the throw will compliment the run. If Belfry is tossing it around, they are probably not going to win. Can any Belfry fan post the projective offensive and defensive starting lineups, or PM it to me? Appreciated in advance!

Corbin will struggle on the ground IMO. I look for Belfry's front 7 to be VERY good against the run this season. If Southerland can play, I like Belfry by 7. Belfry - 28 Corbin -21

Belfry 9-1 Loss to Johnson Central I earlier would have said 7-3 with losses to Pikeville and Corbin, but early indications lead me to beleive Belfry will be a bit better than I thought.

Yep. Wright to Pauley on curl routes all night long, along with RP Vipperman for 3 and 4 yards eeked that one out.

Sounds like a big boy with wheels. I didn't get to see him play last season. Any reason why the returning QB is not lined up to stay in that position?

Also, the staff has settled in on Preston full time at WR? Who is taking snaps as the backup QB?

Dotson has moved to the defensive backfield? I could maybe see strong safety if he has enough speed. He would certainly be a headhunter (ala Tyler Bostic) back there. Who played linebacker alongside May then? Is Hickman still playing defensive line? If anyone who saw the game or has been watching practice could shed some light on where people are being positioned, it would be much appreciated!

I think Belfry could have picked a couple more fulfilling matchups. The Shelby Valley matchup leaves much to be desired, but I guess at least it is a local matchup. The East Carter matchup IMO is no good. I don't like playing a team in the same class there.
