What do the Greyhounds have at the skill positions? Who is the QB?

A whole bunch of SPEED!!!

 

Tion Thomas has to be one of the fastest in the state.

 

Mason will win after they figure out how to stop Thomas on the option.

 

Special teams will play a big part for Paris.

 

Paris may not be very deep but they will make some noise this year.

I look for Paris to surprise people this year. I don't know enough about Mason this year to make an informed prediction, but I would say that Paris will be better then many people think.

How did Paris do Friday night at their scrimmage?

An earlier thread stated that Paris had around 9 players running a 4.5 forty. Is that true and if so do the Paris people look for 10-0 season??? Having 9 guys run a 4.5 forty would put you at the top of the list as far as team speed in the state. Does anyone see this many fast players playing a role in the game?

If Mason can keep the ball away from Paris' speed merchants and contain on special teams, and if they play with intensity for the entire game and not just in spurts, I look for the Royals to win by something like 26-13. Can't be looking forward to next week. Must control the LOS on both sides of the ball and do a better job of getting pressure on the QB; guys must stay with their assignments as I expect the Greyhounds to take advantage of their speed with misdirection.

Who are the nine guys that run a 4.5 or better. I know that Tavion Fields will not be playing football at Paris this year, so that hurts them some....

 

Paris looked better the 2nd half on Friday as opposed to the first half. I personally did not see 9 guys who ran a 4.5 or better. Being constructive, I see Paris struggling early on, but by mid-season I think they will be okay.....I could see Paris and Raceland battling for 2nd seed in the district behind LCA..(But I know nothing of Fairview though)

Unless Paris has about 11 kids transfer in, this wont be much of a game.

I heard through the grapevine that Paris' Coach has been going around town saying that he was going to make an example out of Coach Buchanan's Mason County and that Paris was going to smash Mason County. This is a bold statement considering Coach Buchanan and his father coached at Paris and have nothing but the utmost respect for Paris football. Could this be the new grudge match game for Mason County??? Old school Paris coach versus the new school young brash coach??? Any comments???:confused:
