Just looking through the different classes and found it interesting that 35 teams remain unbeaten. Any chances that some of those teams will loose tonight? Here's a breakdown by class: 6A - 7 teams 5A - 8 teams 4A - 4 teams 3A - 5 teams 2A - 4 teams 1A - 7 teams

As a Russell fan, I'm hoping for a solid Russell performance, but I gotta tell you, my gut instinct is if East protects the ball, they may give Russell some problems. We'll see.

I agree about Selby. Matter of fact, If I'm Boyd County, I'd figure out a way to get him more involved offensively. He is a hoss and a load to bring down.

I called 33-20. I was pretty close. Ha ha. Nice game by both teams. A lot of heart on the field tonight. This play had no impact on the outcome, but could someone explain to me how a fumbled option pitch becomes an incomplete pass? There is no way the pitch was forward.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but honestly, that's every coaches goal. All successful teams play with a team concept.

Russell is no doubt the better team on paper and expected to win, however, they did expose a couple weaknesses that I am sure the coaching staff is addressing. But the weaknesses exposed may take several weeks to completely fix. So that being said, Boyd County I believe will score some points, but I don't think the Boyd County Defense will have much success stopping Jones and company...I look for it to be something in the area of 33-20. Russell pulling it out. As for saying the Boyd County win 2 years ago was not an upset..I disagree. Russell was supposed to win that game...Boyd County winning wasn't an upset, but how they won was. They dominated that game physically. Russell couldn't do anything that night. And that I think was the upset part.

Based on the team Corbin had last year and what they brought back, I expected this to be a closer game. Belfry is Belfry and anyone that has been there knows how tough it is to win there. But I expect Corbin is a little bit disappointed. I still expect both of these teams to make noise in the playoffs.
