Is this supposed to be based upon history or this year? I absolutely LOVE Trinity, but historically, I wouldn't rank the Rocks as the best program in the state by a LONG shot. Anyone know? I have avoided posting in this thread because it's difficult. But, over the course of the laSt 9 or 10 months, I hear him often in my head. I miss his unique humor. It helped me through some really tough times. I especially miss our long conversations (arguments) about the virtues of green veggies. I can't eat broccoli these days without remembering some of those classic (illogical) reasons he came up with to avoid all things green.

Completely not representative of the whole of both regions. Heck, the 6th & 7th encompass the entire city. For that to be the "price" of being in either district, the whole city would be a wild west. Unfortunately, that area is a very troubled area. A lot of effort is being made to turn it around, and I have friends who live near the area where the shooting occurred, and their neighborhood doesn't have any issues. I'm so glad no one was hurt. And I think it's a terrible thing to have happen. But I don't want everyone thinking the entire city, or even that entire area of the city is "bad", because it's not.

It's Coach King at Iroquois, and there's no dissuading me. There is absolutely no way one can understand the hurdles he faces at Iroquois, and I'm hopeful he can do for Iroquois, what Coach Scroggins has done for Central. I do feel Coach King has a harder row to hoe, but heck...look what he did this year!

I believe it is a combination of a lot of things, but chiefly, NKY's propensity to build new schools and split their student base, rather than to expand existing facilities. I can't remember the last time JCPS built a whole new school. It may have been in the 70's or early 80's. Trinity, X, DeSales, Assumption, Sacred Heart, Presentation and Holy Cross all exist at their original sites. Holy Cross became a school by combining Angela Merici and Bishop David (only co-ed Catholic HS in Lou) and located at the site of Bishop David. Mercy built a new school after they outgrew the East Broadway Campus. JCPS high schools manage enrollment through a combination of boundaries and open enrollment. Want a larger pool? Find a way to keep all the fish in one lake instead of splitting them all out into smaller ponds.

Those aren't playing in the districts you're complaining about, or the class.

I could not disagree more. One can have all the talent and athleticism God can bless someone with. But without someone (coaches, parents) teaching them discipline, perserverance, teamwork and effort, they won't be D1.
