  1. Interesting perspective. I'll be interested to read the opinions of some of our resident topic not to be discussed advocates have on this.
  2. And yet, none of the recent mass killings was committed by an escaped thug.
  3. It means he admits it happened, furthering the strength of the allegation.
  4. Ok. I've never gotten that impression from the media, but to each their own.
  5. Can you expound? I thought I understood what you were saying...but then I reread it and I'm not sure I do.
  6. And on the flip side, I feel even more confident they are telling the truth because Mitch McConnell has heard them and believes them. Now...you think about that...I am agreeing with Mitch McConnell...there must be something to that. :F
  7. In the case of at least 2 of these women, they were teenagers, it was the 70's. As difficult as it is.now for women to try and bring forth such action, it was tens of times worse. Not to mention, from what the one victim I saw tell her story, he used his power and position to make it clear to her that no one would believe her over him. That's what predators do. They use their power to silence those they abuse.
  8. Some of these accused also have a history of settlements related to the allegations. I remember one poster here who said of Bill Cosby's situation, that the sheer number of women coming forward made it improbable to think nothing happened. And frankly, this is a long time coming. It's happening to high profile people right now. Hopefully this message trickles down to the everyday folks, that harassing behavior is not acceptable.
  9. And baseball? You may as well consider it a permanent art installation. :lol2:
  10. Everytime I read this thread title, I do it to the tune of Joan Osborne's "What if God Was One of Us".
  11. I assume you mean the Football Championship? PLEASE tell me you don't mean Basketball!
  12. Be strong! The dislikes don't do the work!
  13. And, then there's the exception that proves the rule.
  14. I will also defend those of us who are not early decorators, or decorators at all, we aren't grinches or Scrooge's. We just think there are protocols to letting other holidays have their time, THEN Christmas. And although some of us don't decorate, we love participating in activities and events, and even just driving me walking around and seeing the decorations. But it's not really a practical choice for some.
  15. I enjoy my tree for maybe a week, then I am over it.
  16. I'm thinking of not doing a tree too. I was going to do it for my granddaughters. But they likely will never see it. So far, they have never made it over when the tree is up. In defense of their parents, I wait till mid December to put it up and have it down within a day or 2 of Christmas. It takes up a ton of room, is a ton of work, and now with 3 dogs, it becomes a constant battle to even keep ornaments on as they investigate or just brush it as they walk by.
  17. I'm salary. May I get some sort of compensatory consideration to equal out the number of hours hourly staff sit in the break room waiting for the clock to get to punch out time? Seriously, the break room is on the other side of my office wall. Daily from about 3:30-4 it sounds like a big party and at 4-whoosh! A mass Exodus.
  18. Thinking about it, I don't think I know one Colts fan. NFL fans I know in Louisville are Bengals, Packers, Steelers, Patriots or Titans, with Bengals fans the largest number. I'm not sure how it was decided that this was a Colts market. Interesting question to explore, to be sure.
  19. I'm going to choose Central, but could go either way.
  20. I still have a Magic 8 Ball. I consider it an essential part of my decision making process.
