  1. I remember a little bit of that game. I think there was a potential non fumble call that Greenwood recovered that would have set them up with good field position. I think X was up a score when that happened. The game was closer than the "experts" predicted.
  2. Games like these it's about getting 2nd and 3rd team guys some varsity snaps; let them be rewarded for putting in the work during the week throughout the season.
  3. Love the Purples/Gators banter! Law of averages says Greenwood will win at some point, just not sure when that point will be. I'll take BG 35-14.
  4. Probably 5 to 6 of those completions were quick screens or tosses on jet sweeps. Still impressive percentage though.
  5. I have no idea. I picked St. Mary's just because Trinity's offense is hard to figure out. They score 34 against Cincinnati St. X but then score 9 against Ballard. I wouldn't be shocked if Trinity ended up winning but I'll take St. Mary's 21-13.
  6. Noticed Teddy didn't play last night too, did Cooper Smith last night? Usually, he's one of the return guys but he wasn't back there this week?
  7. Score is what you'd expect with two strong defenses. Thought the St. X offense found ways to be efficient with their offense after the 1st quarter scoop and score, but pre-snap penalties and a costly red zone turn over hurt their drives. The turnovers for TDs at the beginning of games is frustrating, but for me the pre snap penalties is what's most concerning; those are drive killers and has been happening too much from and all positions have been sharing in it. The defense has been outstanding. They're fast, physical, and play hard. Great job finishing this game off and being 1-0 in district play!
  8. Not my favorite combo, but I know the kids like them. If they think they look good, play good.
  9. I agree. If a single play speaks volumes to how all parties are handling the situation it would have to be the play Havill made against Trinity to put St. X up in that game. It would have been easy for him to be down on himself, but he kept his focus while Boone was taking the QB snaps and was ready to play if and when his number was called again. He came in and made a great pass to Zach Marks to put X up.
  10. Another Football Friday, with district play and the weather getting cooler! Can't wait, Go Tigers!
  11. I'd agree. When comparing Boone and Havill, Havill has everything you'd want in the QB position, but Boone makes he reads and gets the ball out of his hand quicker. But the staff has continued to play Havill and have publicly shown support for Havill.
  12. Yeah, I don't see many points being scored this week by either team.
  13. St. X/Manual has been picked to be KSR's Game of the Week.
  14. But what about Manual's OL? Because if they can't create running lanes he's going to have a tough night.
  15. While Manual has a new head coach and their offense appears to have evolved, they're still not great on offense. They're an offense that seems to be big play or bust, and Manual hasn't faced a defense like St. X this year so we'll see how the perform. Manual's strength is their defense and specifically their DL. It will be tough for St. X to run the ball, but I think St. X will have some success through the air. Manual seems to play soft coverage making sure to keep everything in front of them. I see this as a low scoring game, with St. X the more battled tested team coming out with win. I'll take St. X 17-3.
  16. For Ballard to win they'll have to score points on defense or special teams. I'll take Trinity 28-3. Trinity's defense is too good and Ballard will play tough on defense too, but Trinity will likely have the advantage of good field position will allow them to have short TD drives.
  17. If X's offense can become ambit more efficient they will be at another level. A lot of their offense seems like a struggle, if they can improve their 3rd down percentage and can find a running game to hang their hat on it will open up their passing game.
  18. Just saw in the paper Trinity held the Bombers to 83 yards...dang! That's coming out with a purpose for the Rocks defense.
  19. Notice from the youtube stream that X was huddling instead of signaling in their plays; did they do this the whole game or just the second half? Was Ryle picking up on their sign or was this something St. X was doing because Manual picks up on their offensive sign?
  20. Tiger defense showed up for 4 quarters and dominated. Tiger offense took awhile to get going, but together a couple good drives in the second half. Got through this one now onto district play where the stakes are even higher.
