I liked it too when it was at WKU. Big college stadiums just are neat for the players to play in, but the actual environment just seems to be lacking. EKU could be a good alternative.

I remember awhile back there was a website that had every Louisville high school (past and present) and their overall record against each school they've played. Does a site like that still exist? Is there one for the entire state?

I went back and watched a little bit of the BG/X game, and I just think the BG OL is going to have a long day especially in drop back passing situations. If BG can be efficient with their quick game and RPOs it will help negate the advantage of the Douglass DL over the BG OL.

I think it was 4 or 5 years ago St. X lost to Trinity in the Regional Final in a double OT game. Had beaten Trinity a couple of times during the regular season, just couldn't finish during the regional tournament. Basketball does feel to be taking the next step with the younger plays in the program, but over the last 20 or so years hasn't produced much.

This may have already been mentioned, but I heard on KSR the other day the lower bowl for this game has already sold out. I can remember the first year the games were in Bowling Green and Allen County-Scottsville played against Boyle Co and ACS packed the home side of the stadium at WKU. It was a great environment.

I'd agree with most of this take. He's not flashy, but the thing about him that opposing teams have to be ready for is his size. He's a big dude back there and can gradually tire out a defense. He also keeps that offense on track. I don't know if Male wins any of the gives they lost while he was out this season, but Male's offense struggled because lack of a running threat other than their QB scrambling around. Big kid, not going to be the flashy RB, but delivers "body shots" to the defense that pays off late in the game.

This is kind of what I'm thinking too. BG has to make plays early on offense. Against St. X they had some opportunities to get some big plays, but just didn't convert. If they don't convert on their opportunities then I see a similar outcome to what is posted, if they can gain confidence early, they'll be in good shape. I do think the BG defense will be able to play well against the FD offense and maybe be able to find a way to turn them over, which is always a variable in big games.

Every angle I've seen has been difficult to tell if the QB crossed the goal line, so I can't say with absolute certain he was in or not. Weren't they in a "to goal" situation anyway, so they couldn't get a first anyway.

What else would you call the Male win over Ballard? Male scored their second TD against X on a reverse pass, and then ran another reverse lob pass on the 2 pt conversion. I could be convinced the Male win over X wasn't luck, but the Ballard win, yes was luck. If this game comes down to the end, I'd say Male has used up their playoff luck unless they have had some built up over the last 5 seasons that is just now being used.

I think the score of this game may look closer than the game itself. FD DL I think will be able to control the LOS and cause problems for the BG offense.

Is he a multi-sport athlete or does he only play basketball? Good showing by the Tiger Basketball team as BG is ranked as one of the top teams in many preseason rankings. I'm sure the Purples still have some basketball players working on the grid iron. Good luck to both teams this season.

I think BE’s offense will carry them. Will come down to if BE can contain Swinney. If BE can keep Male to 21 points or under then they’ll be in good shape.

Thinking about this more it’s also very impressive no official blew their whistle either. Granted it’s the state semi final game so you’re getting the best of the best, but just glad the officials didn’t get in the way of a crazy finish.

I’m taking BE. BE’s offense is better. BE is a confident group. Of Male’s 4 playoffs win, 2of them could be placed in the “lucky” category. Yes, at times it’s better to be lucky than good, but you can’t live off of that. Think Male has used up all their good fortune. BE - 27 Male - 21

I think this is the year for FD. Their defense is too good, and while BG has had a really good year I just think FD will be too much. Both teams played X, while FD played X in a scrimmage it was still treated as a game. FD performed better. FD - 28 BG - 14

I feel so bad for the Ballard coaches, players, and fans. This is what makes playoff time special, but someone has to unfortunately be in the other side.
