Central (0-1) will host St. X (1-0) after losing to Manual 26-0. St. X travels to Central after beating Floyd Central (IN) 52-13.

Last year, St. X won 44-8. Central last beat St. X in 2015.

Central struggled on offense against Manual with highly touted RB Cortez Stone the lone bright spot who rushed for 105 yds.

Central yielded less points against Manual compared to last year so that was an improvement.

St. X rolled against an under matched Floyd Central (IN) team with QB Trevor Havill torching the Highlanders with 195 yds and 4 touchdown passes. WR Marlon Harbin was a key target and had 81 yds receiving with a touchdown and also ran back a kickoff for a touchdown. WR Cameron Halloway made his debut after being injured last year and caught two touchdowns.

Central is an upgrade in opponent for St. X compared to Floyd Central but Central has struggled in the series against the 6A power, but Central sees having back-to-back 6A teams as a benefit to prepare them for their 3A schedule where they are one of the top 5 teams.

My best memory of last year's game was freshman James Burnett who ran down fast Central RB Cortez Stone from behind keeping him from scoring just a few yards short of endzone. James Burnett this year was AAA state champion in 400m and starting at CB this year.

Indeed, a crease is all he needs. St. X defense was better last year so better chance of finding one this year, but Manual shut them out so maybe he doesn't.

Tigers name the score. This is a mismatch.

More of the same from St. X in week 2.

I'm not sure what they benefit from playing these games, but X by whatever they want.

Central running back should be a good test for the Tiger defense.

Running clock in this one

Stone will get some yards but they won't stop St. X's offense
