  1. This... Male struggled throwing the football consistently, which lead to a few of their loses last season. Finding a replace for Swinney will be key for the Male offense this offseason. Also, Swinney took a beating over the last two season, so finding a couple of RB options is big too.
  2. I know about some of the young offensive players coming up, but who are some of the young defensive players that can fill the shoes of the graduating seniors?
  3. @Tigerpride94 If I read your post on the Board Meeting thread the KHSAA approved the new alignment at the meeting today; so, the districts and classes are officially set?
  4. Should be a fun '23 season for the Purples. I see them lighting up the scoreboard with the players they have returning.
  5. Defense will be stellar. Question will be can the offense be consistent enough against what I will assume will be another elite schedule.
  6. My guess from a scheduling standpoint is that X will want to or have to find three games to replace Owensboro, Ryle, and Elder. I could see them keeping Elder but wouldn't be surprised if they went with another OOS team to mix it up a bit.
  7. I am intrigued to see what their upcoming schedule will look like.
  8. Ugh, still frustrating thinking about the way the 2022 ended. But looking ahead the offense should be better than the last year as stated above. The skill players are there and returning two OL who have played a lot of football will help. The big key for the offense in '23 is the progression Havill will make from last season. He has the tools; he just has to have them all working together to keep the offense on track. A lot of young skill players have been in the mix over the last couple of years so it will be exciting to see them on Friday nights! The defense will take some time to adjust from losing big playmakers like Micah and Jaxon. But what X has done well over the last few years is rotate a lot of players in on that side of the ball. There will be a bit of learning curve at curtain spots, but they will be a solid group. Looking forward to next season!
  9. Young Tiger team comes up just short. Reading the write up in the paper they were really good hitting the boards but struggled shooting in the second half (33%).
  10. I think Trinity wins. I see X keeping it close probably within 6-10 points during most of the game, but see Trinity winning tonight. Glad to see it’s back at Bellarmine; it will make for an outstanding basketball environment with both schools selling out of their allotment of tickets!
  11. Good job Tigers! Young basketball team that will continue to get better throughout the season. They could be a "fly in the ointment" team come mid-February.
  12. I saw the highlights on social media of the ending... the X defender puts two hands on the Manual player but seemed like a tough call to make though. I wasn't there so if that was how the game was being called then I'm good with it, but it just didn't seem to be much there.
  13. Tough loss for the Tigers. Had a decent lead during 3rd quarter too.
  14. As an assistant football coach in the Tampa Bay area I make roughly $1800 before taxes. That amount is broken into two stipends, I get 70% of it in the Fall and 30% at the end of our spring practice period.
  15. 9,331 was the reported crowd size, as years go one this number will get bigger and bigger with all the Bullitt East fans telling stories of what it was like at Kroger Field winning their first state championship. Sports is awesome! Also, interesting story in the Courier from the Male side. Wolfe makes a comment that maybe getting a new coach would help the Bulldogs get over the hump…I don’t think he goes anywhere but still an interesting thing for him to speak into existence.
  16. Seems like the FD defense decided that if Bailey was going to beat them then he was going to have to under pressure instead of sitting back like they did the first half.
