  1. I think Male ends up winning pretty “easily”. I’ll go with Male winning 28-10.
  2. I guess he’s excited about Manual’s third win over the Tigers since 1993.
  3. Heard ZahRon was at the JV game Monday night and seen throwing the ball around with his teammates on the sidelines and was looking good. I'd expect to see him out there tomorrow night.
  4. Unfortunately, this outcome was expected this year. Trinity has a great freshmen class, and watching the video stream last night they definitely pass the eye test. Hopefully, this group of freshmen for the Tigers can stick with it and develop and improve each season. I think there could be some potential players in the group but think they have to have support around them and not be the "guys" of the team.
  5. Will there be any video stream of the game or will it be just on the radio?
  6. Fun game, hoping for a different result, but it was a great game to kickoff Pride Week for both schools.
  7. If Lynn Family Stadium was a little bigger I could see the game moving there.
  8. Haven't seen that number against a Tiger defense in a long time, or ever. Thought St. X fought hard, but as stated earlier Elder was a bit too big and physical for the Tigers' defense and they just couldn't get that one more stop when they cut it to 24-21. Tiger offense did some good things but the 3 turnovers were hard to overcome. Good game to learn from and Tigers should be ready for next week once making the necessary corrections.
  9. This will be an intriguing stretch for the Rocks and their young players with Male, St. X, and Cincy St. X. If they can manage these next three games and find a way to go at least 2-1 then they’re moving in the right direction.
  10. Massey Ratings has a score prediction of 28-20, Elder, with a 65% chance for an Elder victory.
  11. Central has the ability to keep it close… I just don’t know if they have the OL to make LaSalle worry they can score consistently. I’ll take LaSalle 24-7.
  12. Here’s what I know…Trinity has a really good freshman class evident by some of them getting the opportunity to play significant roles on varsity. Here’s what I don’t know… will Cobb there to see the rewards of this freshman class and can they hold up physically the next 3-4 weeks against Carmel, Male, St. X, and Cindy St. X. Their defense is good enough to carry them to wins, I just don’t know if they can do it week after week. That’s a lot to ask of any unit… be perfect. That’s tough.
  13. Krupp is a guy to keep an eye on as the season progresses. Fast, with great hands.
  14. Go Tigers! Thought X did a good job of making others on Male’s offense beat them than #5. The Tiger offense was able to come up with some big plays to get the separation in the game they needed. Always good to beat Male but still room to work and get better. But for this weekend heading to a bye week the Tigers can enjoy their accomplishment.
  15. Football Friday! The media is going with the Bulldogs as all 4 pick Male in a close one tonight in the Courier. We'll see what happens; should be a good one on Poplar Level Rd tonight.
  16. Defense and special teams will probably need to come up with a few scores of their own for Trinity to win this one.
  17. #5 for Male is a handful. It will be interesting to see how Male uses him.
  18. Trinity's defense is really good, and with Douglass not having their starting QB it could get ugly for them on that side of the ball. I'll take Trinity 35-7.
  19. Always a great time of year as high school football is officially kicking off! Fredrick Douglass was a great scrimmage for the Tigers as a lot of players got their first taste of varsity football. A lot of teachable moments and I think this team can continue to improve each week. Tigers should take care of business this week and have the opportunity to get a lot of kids more varsity reps.
