Moeller (OH) 24 Trinity 21

Featured Replies

After leading 14-3 at the end of the first half. Moeller and their great QB come out firing. Trinity puts themselves in bad situations in the second half. Bad penalties and an interception.

It is a shame Trinity will be given a loss in the RPI to a .500 team when Moeller is so much more.

Despite the final score, and the massive third quarter collapse, Trinity looked like the better team for most of the game. They just collapsed more than you can against a team of that caliber.

I didn't see game but look like Rocks went toe -to-toe with a great team.

Interception completely changed the game.

Moeller skill position guys are very good. Starts at QB.

Driving deep into Moe territory with the lead and ugh...

I'm curious.

When Trinity had a complete pass that was then ran out of bounds, the clock didn't stop. Then when Trinity got a first down, the clock didn't stop.

But when both of those scenarios happened for Moeller, they stopped the clock.

I rarely blame outside influence, but that was less than favorable from the zebras. Reminiscent of 2012. Iykyk.

I hate to sound like sour grapes but Trinity got some tough calls...That is all I will say.

I feel the same way but I would totally understand a Moeller fan laughing in my face, lol.

Really was a tale of two halfs I believe. The Rocks came out strong and really punched Moeller in the mouth. Offense looked in sync with a long first drive to score. The Defense was locked in and the D-line was pressuring nicely. But after that first Moeller score in the 3rd and the subsequent INT, it looked like a different Trinity team.

The refs were not great for Trinity. A few choice spots, which included a few first down calls for Moeller, and some really bad missed holding calls. But that's the game and you have to play above it. The Rocks did not.

Never the less, a good game between two very talented teams.

Trinity moves forward with big meetings versus Carmel (Ind.), Male, and St. Xavier also coming within the month of September.

This was a weird game. I think if they played 10 times, Trinity would win 6-7 of them. And Trinity outplayed Moeller tonite, but lost.

Pretty brutal here and right before the phantom onside kick...Not sure how a game of this quality gets stuck with a 5-man crew but this is awful IMO:

Pretty clear that the initial catch was not made.  Is your point that there was no official remotely close to see the subsequent ball action?

I think that if there were a 7-man crew and the official is in a better line of sight there's no way this gets called a TD, or perhaps another back judge or referee is in position to overrule it...This was just very unfortunate for us and shouldn't affect the outcome
