Tigers finish up spring practice with a spring game tonight. Not sure what the format will be and not sure what role if any the weather will play.

Probably not the same comparison. Outside of basketball at St. X, each athletic team has shown a consistence of winning championships during each era. UCLA and Yale...not so much in your comparison.

Best player on the court showed up in the second half and became an enforcer downlow and the Tigers had zero answers for him. Tough way to end a great season for St. X, but they do return a lot of players next year and this experience should allow the team to keep taking steps in a positive direction and be a more consistent player in the city and state basketball scene. Final thought... did Klein get outcoached? Too many times, it looked like St. X was disorganized on the court.

Long layoff for both teams since winning the their respective regional tournaments, so we’ll see with team handled the layoff the best. Think the depth of St. X will carry them past JTown in a close first round matchup.

I feel like Seneca would be a good spot for JCPS to send the 7th Region tournament and renovate their gym. But that may make too sense.

Trinity was the team I was most pleased to see on the opposite side of the bracket. I think Trinity has the length and athleticism that will give St. X the most trouble. It’s hard to beat a team 3 times in a season, but I think St. X is able to complete the sweep of Trinity in close game similar to the regular season match opposed to the LIT game.

Glad to see Trinity on the opposite side of the Tigers. I think they’re the team that can knock St. X out of the tournament.

I would say no to starting QB playing defense, but I'm all for the backup playing another position. Most teams the backup QB is one of the better players on the team and you should allow him to play another position on the field instead of him just standing on the sideline come Friday nights just because he is the backup.

They are fortunate to have depth, but that depth isn't exactly the same as what Josh gives them when he enters the game.

I don’t think Coach Powell will be the next HC. It’s a good name, but very little experience as a high school and St. X has already been down that road before. But this will be a very interesting process because of timing of the Coach Wallace announcement and that St. X does not have an AD.

From what I've heard their first game will be against Owensboro and the last week will be their bye week.

It’s the way it goes sometimes. Trinity had the ball up 2 with about 30 seconds and couldn’t close it out… don’t know how much the officials played a role in that.
