Looks like Man Robinson is headed to IMG…? He did not play in their regional game against Trinity in basketball last night. Big time opportunity for him if this is true.

Hearing some other rumblings of some of their top young talent may be leaving as well. Kids who already have offers.

That is the rumor for Man.  He'll do well down there if he does go.  As far as football, nobody else is leaving that I'm aware, but you never know.  We'll find out between now and July.  I know the basketball team has one or two transferring out though.

IMG runs three separate football teams. They have a local team, a state team, and a national team. I hope things go smoothly for him but don';t be shocked if he's back in the CAL backfield this fall.

He is going to be on the national team at IMG and I would be *highly* surprised if he came back to CAL if he returned to Louisville. Some in his circle are really swinging for the fences.  Plus I think his older age would become a concern on the backend of HS, thus the prep school route.

He is a talented and competitive player, but he is going to be swimming in some very deep water there….much deeper than 3A KHSAA can provide. That said, I hope he does well and does the area proud. What he may lack in measurables kid plays hard.

The IMG National team has no room for kids who do not possess the necessary measurables, AND talent, AND a strong work ethic. It's what separates them from even the elite of HS football programs.

I don’t disagree. But IMG offered him despite the measurables being pretty obvious on the lower end. 5’10 180 with thicker build and if I had to take a stab at a laser 40 prob in the 4.6++ range. It was surprising, given what the CB spot requires these days.

Aspirations/Vaughn seems to have an inordinate amount of pull around here, at least for “offers” so maybe there’s a connection there too, but I don’t know that.

I would have thought staying here and building name recognition would have been the play, but his circle was shopping hard to get into a bigger fishbowl. All the best to him.

Bingo. Vaughn created the Kiyaunta Goodwin situation. 5 star lineman that had crazy hype, and couldn't break into UK's starting lineup, and vanished at Florida.

Chris didn't create the Kiyaunta Goodwin "situation".  UK did not want him to transfer.  Once he hit the portal, it was between going back to UK, Louisville & Florida, but he thought the opportunity at Florida was better.  Before he "vanished" at Florida, he was their starting RT in the spring game and was projected to start for them in the fall.  The reason why he left Florida was b/c his mom had terminal cancer and she passed within a few months after he left to come back home to take care of her.

Man will do fine but like many, not sure how long he stays down there.  Might be something similar to Dekel Crowdus from FD a few years back.  He has aspirations of going bigger so with his measurables being ok, but not great, this is his chance to prove it.  Staying around here would not have done that.

No real connection between Chris and IMG.  If that were the case, Garyon Hobbs would probably be there as well in addition to a few others.  Chris knows some people in South Florida though.  He just finished taking 5 or 6 kids down there to visit, Miami, USF, FIU, etc.  Chris has a lot of pull b/c a lot of kids he works with go D1.  He's worked with Carrington Valentine, Nate Hobbs, Malachi Corley, Wandale Robinson, etc. so people take note of that, at least when it comes college coaches recruiting the Louisville metro area.

4 high schools in 4 years, you know what, you are right. Not likely Chris had any influence in that pattern either.

In this case....I am right.  I know both of them well, but apparently, I don't know them that well or at least not as well as the guy with the 10,000 foot view.  What was the 4th high school?
