How does Larue beating Glascow shake up the playoff picture? I see Glascow is still number 2…

Best Football
It’s a shame that Wilson GSTs are not allowed in KY…best all around ball, and when treated properly is spectacular. You can really fine tune it. Spalding Alphas just stink. So hard/slick out of the box and don’t take that well to treatment/mud. I treat the crap out of them and I still don’t particularly like how they end up. Laces are decent but wear out easily. And the slickest non-grip stripe in the business. Need a KHSAA leather football rebellion…

Quarterback Career records stats
Jackson Burke is on pace to hit 143 by the end of the season with a year to go. And at this season’s rate would finish at 233. National career TD record is 226 or 229, I forget. And is currently at 86.7%….his own national record was 83% last year. As I mentioned in another thread, I’m honestly kinda surprised he doesn’t get more pub. He’s a “once in a hundred years” QB in terms of accuracy and IQ at the high school level, anywhere.

Christian Academy of Louisville 49 Central 7
Burke on a 32 completion streak 👀 Sitting at 87.6%….his own national record is 81% I believe. On pace for 90 TDs….national record is 91 by Kentucky’s own Corey Robinson. Frankly I’m kinda shocked he doesn’t get more pub….obviously plays with talented players, but he has left a TD/completion % trail of bodies at every level since the 3G.

Ja'Hyde Brown - Mr. Football Conversation
He's the best SR in Kentucky, he's the best player in Kentucky. Whatever the criteria, it's his trophy.

Shoptaw has 2 (two) TD passes this year. In 2026, that's embarrassing. It's embarrassing in 1956. Shocking they didn't give the senior a shot, and worse still haven't.

BG struggled with Barren County, just to be clear.

Def running clock by T, and probably early. How come Jacobson over Burmester? Would think he'd be next up, or as some have said privately he should've been ahead of Shoptaw in the first place?

Or could play T? That'd be nice. During the next cycle it has been challenging, CAL will likely be playing an out of state team next year at the end of the regular season. X at least tried to work out a deal, give them credit. Boyle went radio silence when time to fish or cut bait...real talk. T available the week after the state title? Redman can hook up Lynn Family Stadium. Be just for funsies...how bout it?

Owensboro 24 Saint Xavier 7
Owensboro wins, prob by 14+.

Christian Academy of Louisville 42 Franklin County 0 (Scrimmage)
28-0 at the end of 1q…..complete beatdown. Could be 100-0 through 3 if CAL wanted. And mainly running the ball.

Agree completely. Manual looked like a pretty complete team vs CAL. Meanwhile Ryle lost the kitchen sink.

2026 Mr. Football: Off-Season Discussion
I actually agree with the playing both ways deal as a positive for SD. But regrettably that did not help Connor Hodge in the MF race, despite complete dominance on both sides of the ball.

St. Xavier 7 Frederick Douglass 0 (Scrimmage)
Also, if we’re playing a shell game, feel free to add 4x in a row champ CAL who beat 2 of those 10 on the road last year, beat one of them on the road last Friday, has the #2 recruit in the nation, a top 3 Mr Football candidate, and the national completion percentage record holder. But hey it’s an otherwise good list!
