Central Hardin hosts the CAL Centurions on Thursday night smarting from a 48-0 whooping by the North Hardin Trojans. Another 2026 Bruin game in which they failed to gain over 100 total yards for the game. On the season they have been outscored 163-0 in their first four games. This begs to question, has there been a 6A school in recent memory, that has gone a full season without scoring a point? I pose this question because I really think this scenario is becoming more and more possible as the season wears on for these Bruins. The Bruins were held to only 88 points on the season last year and are on pace to eclipse this mark.

QB Caleb Wilson has not performed well and has been prone to turnovers via interceptions and fumbled snaps. When they do get a clean Center/QB exchange, he is often under pressure and takes a sack due to the poor play on the offensive line. Their special teams also has had issues. Their average on punts this season is 24 yards.

On defense, they have been getting overpowered at the line of scrimmage and the opposing team's offensive lines have produced huge holes for their RBs to gain significant yards.

They have tried to run the wildcat offense with Tony Hinton, who has shown promise running this offense.

Stating the obvious, this game will get out of hand quickly. I am just hoping for no injuries and a group of kids who play hard and will show some heart against a team that I consider the second- best overall team in the state of Kentucky, behind only Trinity.

I will defer to Unrivaled97 to provide some insight into this Centurion program that is possibly having one of the best seasons of any football program in recent history in the state of Kentucky.

Blowout.

CAL is not the team you want to see when you are struggling like the Bruins have been. Running clock and Central Hardin's scoreless streak continues.

This game is actually Thursday night with a 7 pm kickoff.

CAL 49-0.

This will be a running clock and it will be early, but CAL will do their best to not run it up. I expect to see the JV immediately after halftime and possibly as early as the middle of the 2nd quarter. CAL will empty the bench and I expect that all kids who are dressed will see some action. The problem is that you can't tell the JV kids not to score. They work all week as well so they can get the opportunity to play on Friday nights from time-to-time.

CAL has figured out the formula for JV playing time. With their weak schedule, they are in running clock situations normally early in Q2. Nothing to see here.

I would like to note I inadvertently selected Central Hardin on the pole. That was obviously an extreme oversight on my end. It won't let me change it back, so let the record reflect I am not a complete idiot. CAL 60+ Central 0.

7-0 CAL with 7 seconds gone. Central Hardin went for an onside and it was returned for a TD.

9:39 left in 1st. Burke to Brown TD. 14-0 CAL.

Safety. 16-0 CAL.

23-0 kickoff return by Leak. 4:50 left in 1st qtr.

30-0 with 202 left in the 1st quarter.
