🗞️ | The single season touchdown reception record seems inevitable. At the rate he's going and the likelihood that CAL plays fifteen games, he may push the record out of sight. Brown is a virtual lock to finish his season in Lexington, giving him that all important opportunity to make a lasting impression on the biggest stage.

Season to date: 46 receptions for 800 yards and 19 TDs

If I had a vote it would go to Brown. But could also go to Trinity's QB as well.

He's the best SR in Kentucky, he's the best player in Kentucky. Whatever the criteria, it's his trophy.

Playing on the best team in Ky doesn't hurt his chances either. Has he committed?

My vote would go to this young man too. I have seen Ja'Hyde Brown, Seneca Driver and Timmy Emongo all in person this year and other than Drivers crazy size, the best player IMO is easily Ja'Hyde. He is explosive and his route running is as good as any kid that I have ever seen in my life.

Brown for Mr Football. Easily one of the best WR I've ever seen in a high school jersey.

Ja'Hyde is committed to the wrong school to win Mr. Football...

Right now I agree. I would argue Burke might be #2. Still a lot of football to go, I think Fryman might have a say in the end or be #2.

Burke is a JR. He's on pace to potentially set the single season TD record of 90 and will more than likely set the career TD passing mark in KY as well. He's just shy of 100 right now with still 1 1/2 seasons to play.

These are big IFs but as long as Ja'Hyde stays healthy, should happen:

IF Ja'Hyde sets the KY single season receiving TD mark.....

AND

IF Ja'Hyde sets the KY career receiving TD mark.....

AND

IF Ja'Hyde tops 2000 yard receiving.....

It'll be hard to not give him Mr. Football trophy

Sorry, out of the loop here. Can you give some scoop on Burke? School, physical stats, etc.

JR QB Jackson Burke for CAL. He was 1st team all-state last year at QB as a SO. He set a national record for completion % in a season by a QB at over 83%. He's actually on pace to have a better completion % this year. He had 50+ TDs last year vs only 1 INT. This year he has 37 TDs and 0 INTs. He's about 5'11"-6' and weighs about 170-175 lbs. He has a few FCS offers for QB currently, but he is probably leaning more towards baseball, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I believe he has an offer for baseball from Coastal Carolina. Great kid and excellent teammate.
