The Broncos of Frederick Douglass will head down to Louisville for their annual preseason scrimmage with the Tigers of St. X. The game is scheduled for this Friday at 7:00pm. Both the Broncos and Tigers will be vying to compete for the 6A Title. I am not sure if it will be a straight scrimmage with 3 quarters or just a practice session. In the past they have played 3 varsity quarters then reserves in the 4th quarter. I hope so that way we can see how both teams stack up. I hope the scrimmage will be streamed. Best of luck to both teams.

I could be wrong, but I think FD comes out well ahead in this scrimmage. St. X has a lot to replace this season.

I will never sleep on T or X.

I'm going guess would be quarter format like in past because also they will need to practice using the new scoreboard. I'll see if I can find out for sure the format.

I’m not sleeping on them at all, but I do know that they’re replacing a lot & quite a few of those replacements will be with sophomores so it’ll be growing pains early for them. I think they’ll definitely be improved back half of the year. Time will tell.

Definitely a 3 quarter scrimmage. Jv 4th quarter.

We'll see Friday if these rankings are correct for these two teams.

Last year, St. X won the varsity portion of scrimmage 21-15. With what both teams return I could see Frederick Douglass on top this year.

I think that's the score from 2 years ago. Last year it was 35-7 after 3. I think they are 2 very different teams this year. X needs to focus on getting ready for the district and winning it. Young kids need reps and experience and hurt returners need to get healthy. Its a long way to December.

That's right that last year was 35-7. I did search on here and it pulled up two years ago so I should have checked date. Guess we'll see Friday how it goes.

I’m not sure about Ryle at 10 and I’d switch St. X and South Warren. Just based off how well they played Trinity.

Also, if we’re playing a shell game, feel free to add 4x in a row champ CAL who beat 2 of those 10 on the road last year, beat one of them on the road last Friday, has the #2 recruit in the nation, a top 3 Mr Football candidate, and the national completion percentage record holder.

But hey it’s an otherwise good list!

National organizations doing local rankings normally crack me up and to me this is garbage.
