End of Varsity portion. St. X 7-0. Both teams have good defenses.

JV portion ends 0-0.

Both varsity offenses are works in progress. Douglass definitely has more questions than answers on offense. They are pretty specific though.

Good luck to Frederick Douglass rest of season.

For those wondering, Dakari Talbert played only about 4 snaps due to dehydration. 3 of those he got the carry, and ran for 30+ or more yards.

The back up RB had some goods run as well.

How did the the quarterbacks do for St X?

I thought he did ok. Made some good throws but missed some too. I'm sure he'll improve over the season making that transition from 1A to 6A.

This is a good result for St X. I still believe they’ll have some growing pains early in the season, but if their defense can put forth this kind of effort consistently, that’ll be huge for them while their offense grows early on.

Shoptaw played all 3 quarters with the ones.

Shoptaw played all the snaps with the ones. He was not particularly accurate but he was under duress at times. He got clocked on the interception as he released the ball. It was not a big passing night.
